Fences were on the desktop yesterday. They are gone today. No updates to Win 11 were done. Fences is in the Startup Apps and enabled. I've tried double clicking each mouse button but nothing brings them back.
Try restoring a Snapshot that should work for you
I have tried that and it didn't work. I also tried going back to each of the 3 days.
A restart didn't work either.
A second restart, however, did work.
I have no idea what the problem was that required a second restart but at least I have Fences and my icons back.
Well , that is odd but they came back so good for now ..
I tried restart 3 times and no restore.

I've had this problem lately now too. I am assuming (Until someone from Stardock has a useful response) that it is because I am using Fences 3, which is the last version you could pay once for, and now Fences 5 is out, which requires a subscription. Seems like Stardock is making their old software work like shit to try to get people to subscribe to perpetual payments for no reason.

Same issue here
1. Windows 11 version 24H2 build 26100.4770
2. Fences Version 3.1.6.1
3. Issue:
- All fences and their contents are not displayed on the desktop after a period of time
- Some items are still on the desktop, so it is not that I've double clicked to hide the desktop items
- All items ARE visible in Windows Explorer so they are just hidden witin the disapperared Fence groups
Unfortunately, Fences 3 is not compatible on Windows 11. It is best to move on to Fences 6. Do know Fences 6 does offer permanent licenses. Would like to suggest to do the 30 days free trial on Fences 6 and see if the same issue appear.
