The issue with the sound network and battery icons being truncated when I click on them has been an issue since the first build of Start11:
Why is this still happening? I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, but the issue still returns. Has this just been put into the too hard basket?

Same problem as some other people with the icons disapearing when the taskbar is set to one monitor. On top of that I use displayfusion for multi monitor setup and if I let displayfusion control the taskbar all my icons disapear so I have to disable that in display fusion and let windows do the job then I get normal icons back.
Start11_1.16-j140-Setup_sd.exe (Start11 1.16) problem.
After I launch a program from the taskbar, the calendar no longer appears when I click on the system clock. This was not a problem with the previous version. Windows 11 Pro v21H2 build number: 22000.556This is what does not appear after I start a program from the taskbar.
It is better if you also include this information as mentioned in the first post.

I tried to use the beta version of Start11 and when I installed it, the start menu simply locked up; I mean it would not open when I clicked on the start button until I uninstalled Start11. Then I could use the Windows 11 start menu. I then re-installed the stable release version of Start11 and all is well. But I did try the beta version again with the same result. So I'm back to the stable release version. My computer details are:

Are you using more than one monitor and have either DisplayFusion installed or have set your taskbar to be only on one monitor?
Windows 10 Pro
21H2
sys compilation: 19044.1586
Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0
everything is fine
MS WIndows 11 ProWhen I right-click over first icon in the new task bar, for me Windows Explorer, a part of the folders are show outside the screen.
As improvement I would like to use this taskbar but, at the same time, in the middle of the screen.
I would appreciate if the feature to pin a office (or other)-document to the word-context menu of the taskbar.
Until Win 10:
If you click on the word-context menu:
You can drag & drop a word template onto the word icon in the taskbar and it is shown on top of the contect menu under "pinned".
Win 11 21H2 with Start11 (1.16 beta):
If you click on the word-context-menu:
You are not able to drag & drop e.g. a word template an pin it to the word icon placed in the taskbar.
To bring back this feature is my feature request.
So this is supposed to be v1.2 and the About Start 11 reads Version 1.16. Is that correct? How are we to know it is actually the beta version?

Also;1) I would LOVE to see the taskbar moved to the Right or Left of the screen.
2) Why do the open tabs take up so much space can you give us an option to display the icon only? 3) After there are 8 tabs open, all new tabs are not accessible from the taskbar; as an example, the ninth is hidden.
Hi
I'm using Start11 on Windows 10 using the Windows 10 startmenu style (trying it out before i move to Windows 11 and use the Windows 10 Startmenu style there.)
I've got several expandable menu's. See below for an example. These expandable groups were created with the Windows 10 startmenu before Start11.Start11 seems to support it but it does not allow dragging any new shortcuts into the expandable group. How can i add/drag shortcuts to the existing group using Start11?
He's right. Only the Start button responds to touch. I didn't realize this before. I thought it was my system. I even uninstalled Start11 to confirm. Windows 11 on its own is fine. All the icons respond to touch without Start11 installed.
To add to a group just hold down shift when dragging the icon.
Hold SHIFT while dragging an icon to the group.
Oh, that is a bummer. I want everything center aligned. It was driving me crazy trying to figure it out in the settings app for Start11. Thanks for this post. At least I know it cannot be done with your advanced taskbar settings and all center aligned. (I wish MS hadn't left aligned widgets too in the latest patch.)
Go back to the beginning and read from there. It is explained there.
Disclaimer: I know this may only be because I'm running a Windows insider build.
Windows 11 21H2 (Build: 22000.588 co_release)
I have no other software installed to modify the look of Windows, I'm only using Start11.
Start11 Settings to recreate:Windows 11 StyleLet Start11 enhance the taskbar: OnUse a custom taskbar background texture: OnTaskbar position: Align Bottom (bug#1 does not appear if aligned to top.)
Thanks for all your work on this.LOVE being able to uncombine my taskbar buttons!Kane
Thank you
Something else i've encountered. When i start my pc after i shutdown Windows 10 pressing shutdown in the startmenu, windows automatically logs back in.But with Start11 this does not happen anymore using the shutdown option in Start11 startmenu.
I use a top mounted taskbar. In Start11 beta 1.16, I have to restart Explorer after coming out of sleep mode every time because the Taskbar will paint below the area previously reserved at the top. As if the"new" taskbar sees the old one still there, reserving the space.
Great to have un-grouped taskbar buttons available, thank you!
Two minor issues experienced so far with Taskbar size set to Small.
The date is crunched up under the time in the Taskbar. This occurs when I've just my laptop screen and also my external connected for dual screen. Also this causes the Wi-Fi/Volume/Battery icon to be vertically centered to this too, so appear lower in the Taskbar.
There's a white vertical line every time I start an app from a pinned app icon in the Taskbar, it disappears when I click elsewhere:
Thanks, Luke
Wow, been a member for 21 years this month.
Some issues with remote dekstop on ipad (work perfectly with windows or mac os)... touch sometime doesn't work. Mouse always works.
Touch on the bar for exemple doesn't triger anything
Multiple DisplaysAnother issued noticed is not all icons appearing when multiple displays of different resolutions. My external monitor is a higher resolution and doesn't show the notification area icons either so it has wider taskbar space. So the second display when I've ungrouped icons on both, I get a different number of apps shown on each screen taskbar, as shown in the screenshot below - the Photos app has two windows open and it doesn't show on my main screen taskbar (which is where they are actually displayed).
This is annoying as would expect the app icon and text to be reduced to squeeze everything into the space given so the same number of apps are displayed on all screens.
Moving Icons AroundIf the taskbar is locked, should you still be able to move icons around, would expect not to - I can't remember how this behaved in Windows 10. I also seem to be able move them around much easier than expected. I say this because with Windows 10 I don't recall ever moving a icon around in the taskbar by accident and this morning I've done it about a dozen times.
