I use Multiplicy KVM to play EverQuest on multiple computers, and with the recent EQ upgrade to 64-bit servers, Multiplicity is "broken" now. Keyboard works fine, but if I use the mouse to move (right click) or look around (left click), it duplicates that action on all other connected computers. This was happening on the Test server several weeks ago, and is now happening on the Live server after today's patch/update. I'm not the only person having this issue.
Update: If EQ has indeed prevented Multiplicity from functioning properly, there is nothing we can do about it.
Update: The changes for EQ were incorporated into Multiplicity 3.60

Looking forward to an update to MP, hands down the best functioning program. After today's Everquest patch the issue is even more noticeable as they tried and fix latency issues on their side.
Thanks for working on the problem!
Woohoo! thanks for the update!
The update should be in testing soon I believe.
XMouse not working for me
Need to play EQ in windowed mode for it to work.
Hello all...
We have a build that we think may address the issue. Here is a direct link to it:
https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Multiplicity_3.57-j68-Setup.exe
It is important that ALL PCs running Multiplicity be updated with it, rebooted, before testing if it indeed does resolve it.
Whatever you find, please report back as soon as you know.
Thanks for the help and feedback.
Downloaded new .exe. Rebooted both computers. Zero joy. The exact same issue remains.
I'll keep testing and rebooting to give it a thorough look and report back if things change.
I downloaded and rebooted twice. Seems to be working good. I am 4 boxing. I havent seen it glitch.
Good job. Thanks for working on this
Uninstall Multiplicity, REBOOT (important), then reinstall the new build.
Any change?
It seems to be working here as well. Will know more as the day progresses. But spent an hour in a group with 5 boxes going and no issues.
Very pleased to hear it and thanks for letting us know.
Confirmed it is working for me, no issues to report at this time. Thanks for the quick response and I hope ya'll got a chance to play the game a little
Great news that it is fixed.
Feel free to tell others how wonderful Multiplicity is
Thanks for the update! However I think this might be an issue for users using multiplicity from steam (the file you provided creates a new shortcut and installation for multiplicity). Even if we uninstall the steam version and install this, we need to provide the product key which we do not receive from purchasing the steam version. Any suggestions on how we apply this patch for the steam version of multiplicity?
As of now the patch doesnt work for me (using steam multiplicity)
Patched up and working fine here! Thanks guys!
I am using multiplicity from steam too, the updates works. You need to make sure that the update is installed into your existing multiplicity folder , should be under c:/program files (x86)
You must also ensure your Steam version is installed first. Do not uninstall it.
The legit Steam version will be a bit longer.
If the sassteam.ini remains after the 2nd install (I cannot test at this very moment) that may work.
Just a note, I am not using this through steam. It is still working fine.
Nice !! Works like a charm! Thanks a lot Stardock !!!
I was able to get the update working after a few more install attempts. Not sure what the problem was. Thanks!
Finally got it working.
On the Primary: I flushed, uninstalled, rebooted multiple times. On the Secondary: I flushed, uninstalled, rebooted multiple times. I then installed this new version on Primary and installed an older version of Multiplicity on the Secondary.
Thanks Stardock for getting us this new version. Once an official update is released, then I will update the Secondary.
Edit: Can confirm it is working as expected, thanks!
I've installed the patch and for the most part it is working.
There is one minor issue still, and that is that the mouse click is still being duplicated on the host PC. The drag duplication is gone, but the actual click remains.
to clarify: the main issue I had with the problem was that when using mouselook to direct my character on the second PC, the character on my main PC will also look around because the mouse drag was duplicated. Now, when I use mouselook on the second PC, the main character does not move, so this is great, but once I use the right mouse button on the second computer the dropdown menu of whichever window the mouse last passed through will open on the main PC, as if I had right clicked that part of the monitors border.
Of course, if I move all of my chat windows and spellgem windows and things away from that side of the screen the problem goes away, but it is still a little annoying.
Again, minor issue. I'm still very appreciative that you fixed the main problem. Thank you
Edit: posted too soon. ive now found that if I move the windows away from the border and correct the menu-opening issue, the mouse drag issue happens again. Funny enough, after further testing i found if i open a menu on the second pc and drag the mouse around it causes the main PC to look around and the second PC stays still.
I'll uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot, then test again and see if that helps.
Edit 2: Ok so I uninstalled multiplicity, then rebooted, reinstalled, then rebooted again. No change.
I found the problem is that I use Joe Multiboxer (the latest version of what used to be called WinEQ. So it seems the patch only fixes vanilla EQ client.
