Microsoft Office icons are now blank whereas they were generic with the previous release:
The Office installation is a little odd on this machine. Settings are in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Office.Desktop_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Roaming\Microsoft\. It is version 2112 build 14729.20248. My OS is Windows 11 Pro version 21H2 build 22000.434.
If you turn on the option to load experimental tile images does it work better?
Windows 11 22533.1001 StartX 11 1.1 Start menu no longer on StartX 11 and back to Windows 11 start menu after windows update.I can open configure but beyond that none of the StartX 11 items show. New Windows build has moved the gadgets icon to the Left and is no longer on the main grouped tasks. This may be the root cause.
As a general rule I would urge people to not use dev builds of Windows. Very few people need to and you should expect things to not work correctly sometimes due to OS bugs and changes which apps may need to be aware of.
That said we are aware of a problem detecting the button and have an update (1.11 beta) which should be available once it has finished testing. I have not seen the gadgets icon move to the left though so I wonder if thats being tested on some installs only.
I have an issue since I bought Start11 at v1.0 that someone here mentioned it was fixed in v.1.1.
It turns out the bug is still present and it's quite annoying, defeating the half of the purpose of the product.
Quite simply, every second time I start my computer, the taskbar icons in the main monitor are aligned to the left, instead of centered as I have set in Start11. The other monitor is fine (see screenshot below). Going to Start11 settings and forcing it to "Align left" and again back to "Center" doesn't fix it. Force closing Start11 and restarting it doesn't fix it. The only thing that fixes it is is restarting the computer.

Start11 version 1.1
I'm running Start11 Version 1.1 on Windows 10 Build 19044.1466. I've noticed something that's not a show-stopper, but is kind of annoying. The pin button for items in the jump lists look the same whether or not an item is pinned. You can see this in the following two screenshots.
I had the original Start 11 installed on Windows 10 Pro running under Parallels on a Mac Mini (late 2012). This computer developed a fault and I have bought a new Mac Mini (with the M1 chip) and am running the ARM version of Windows 11 Pro. I am interested in using Start 11 v1.1, so I first tried installing the original Start 11. I got a message to say this program is not compatible with this version of Windows, so I then tried downloading v1.1 from the link in your recent email, Again I had incompatibility problems installing the program.
Is the problem:
1. Because it won’t run on ARM architecture? (Note I have Fences 4 installed without problem)
2. Because Start 11 was previously installed on another machine?
3. Because Start 11 won’t run in Windows 11?
In fact, is there any point installing it in Windows 11 at all - I was previously using it to get the Windows 11 start on Windows 10?
If the answer is 2 above, I am unable to uninstall the program on my old machine as I no longer have it.
Answers please!
As far as I know, programs have to be recompiled to target the ARM architecture before they'll run on Windows on ARM. I have Windows 11 running in a VMWare Fusion VM on an Intel Mac and Start11 runs fine there.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Actually, from what I know, none of Stardock product is compatible with ARM base CPU. And I am very surprise to hear that Fences 4 can run on your system.

Pale red Windows 11 Pro Insider PreviewVersion DevInstalled on 15/01/2022OS build 22533.1001Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22533.1001.0Since the Update a few minutes ago I cannot get the Taskbar to move to the Top of the Screen, even though set in Start11.I reinstalled Start11 after the Update but that did not help. When opening Start11 it is always set back to align bottom and if set to align top and restart explorer it reappears at the bottom. Closing and reopening Start11 shows align bottom.
This is expected.
The dev build changed things and that feature is currently not working on the dev build of Win11.
This feature should be back in future updates for dev builds. One of the risks of using experimental Windows builds unfortunately.
Be aware you must install 1.11 beta for Start11 to work correctly on that dev build.
I did as requested. I purged, re-booted, reinstalled (he latest version), and re-booted. but I am getting the same issue:
How can I turn on the option to load experimental tile images?
Is it possible to display these menus here as well? It is much more convenient.
You go to settings for the Win10 style menu and scroll down to find the option for load up custom static tile images (Experimental).
That should already be the case with Start11 for that popup. The calendar one will be bottom aligned however.
That did the trick. Thank you!
My personal opinion is that all the drop-down menus from the system tray are better to be next to the taskbar, rather than at the bottom of the screen. (When the taskbar is up). It's more convenient. You can simply set the option to select top or bottom.

I have the same issue. I cannot find the link to 1.11 beta. Please post it here or send me the link

Firefox has all sorts of problems with that loading from this website. I don't know why. I had to get an exact link (posted above) to that website or else it wouldn't work, clicking the my link on this page gets me to the generic forum home page. Not sure why, this wasn't broken before (like 6 months ago)

Using Windows 10 Pro (latest updates).
I uninstalled Start11 and did a fresh install of the new release to try to get it to pick up my Windows 10 menu.
This only partially worked. Several groups were missing as were various icons (and every icon which was an Edge "url" icon.
I now cannot see any way of putting back these webpage shortcuts, and the Edge option to create a shortcut on the start menu will be useless to me (I use it quite a bit).
I also cannot see how to put Windows Store apps on the menu (e.g. Microsoft's own News app was not picked up from the Windows 10 menu and added to the Start11 menu, and I can see no way to add it manually)
I am delaying my windows 11 upgrade in the hope you can fix these issues as
1) I do not want to have to manually recreate my start menu
2) If I cannot pin website shortcuts and store apps it is useless.
Please let me know when (or if) these issues will be fixed as I may have to forget start11 and "bite the bullett" with standard windows 11
p.s. I also find when using my microsoft mouse, which has a Start menu button, sometimes the button brings up the Start11 menu and others it brings up the Windows 10 menu (convenient for me at present).
A logitech mouse which has had a button programmed to be the menu key always seems to bring up Start11
