Installing an update should not have done anything to your existing layout however unless you uninstalled first and picked the option to delete your existing settings.
If I ever have to delete and reinstall the program, you never know, should I first install the older version and then the upgrade, or can I install only the lasted download (release).
Hi! I get a
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
error on both my PC's after this upgrade. Can you look into where the conflict lies?
(In Response to previous comment about support for ARM to run under Parallels Desktop)
I submitted this to support November 11, 2021 and the answer I received was...
"We have received requests for this feature, and the developer is looking into ARM support, but I have no definite news at this time."

Issue: For some reason, the network/sound menu is cropped and it spawns in the bottom part of the screen (same spawn issue with calendar/notification center)
While rare, we suspect that these people are connecting to a work system via VPN - thus bound to the GPO (Group Policy Objects) of that organization that can restrict such things.
Is that the case with you, that you are connecting to your work? If so and you disconnect from the VPN, does it work then?

The other possibility is your download is corrupted.
Windows gives messages like that with bad exes.
I think that update 1.1 is a huge improvement. For the Win11 startmenu it has everthing MS failed to deliver.Though I have a question: I was using Start11 under Win11 with the Win-10-style. I grouped all my programs as I was used to in Win10.Now with the update I can group with the Win-11-style-menu. Is there any chance to import my indivual grouping from Win-10-style to Win-11-style or do I have to start all over again?ThanksStefan
I have attempted to run Start11 since I purchased on 9/12/21 -- this issue has persisted through every iteration of this program.
I'm unsure where to find the event log. I will happily provide it if you can point me towards its location!
I have restarted many times with this software, as I've had it installed since September 2021. Every time I reboot it's impossible to use my explorer until I ctrl+alt+del and kill the Start11 task
Uninstall Start11, REBOOT, reinstall Start11.I suspect a file was not replaced correctly.
This worked! Thank you very much! Really love these new features!
So would this be a good practice for installing and upgrading to Windows 11?Install Start11 and import Windows 10 start menu into Start11 Win10 style.Upgrade to Windows 11 and run Start11.
Would my Start11 Win10 style start menu be preserved then?

Hi,Does it has an option not combine icons/windows on the taskbar ?
I believe that feature is not yet available. As mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/509469/get;3833039. Enhance taskbar features will be added later on V1.2.

Hi, everyone,
I am using/testing Start11 for the first time.Basically a nice addition to the setting options in Windows.
But ... after installing a new program, the text "New" always remains and does not disappear, even after starting it.Neither restarting Start11 or restarting Windows help.
Is it always like this, is there a setting or is it a bug in the current version?

Thanks Basj!
The new indicator goes away after 48 hours the next time the list rebuilds itself.
Can you add a function to the right click menu to rename an icon?
It seems tedious to remove an icon and create a new icon with the correct name. Even if there is a different way to do this, it would be much better to simplify the process.
Thanks!
The taskbar issue where icons don't center (even though you have them set to) on Windows 10 is still in version 1.1. I thought this was getting addressed?
Same setup as the last two releases I am on 20H2 of Windows 10.
Are you using Stardock Curtains as there was a known issue that stopped it working which was addressed with a Curtains update, but there are no other known issues with the feature.
Thank you for reply!
I do use a VPN (Surfshark) but issue persists even when logged off. In the end I uninstalled Surfshark, disabled my Antivirus, and un+reinstalled Start11. But to no avail...
The error message shows up after every restart. I've used Start 10+11 for several years on multiple PC's, but this issue only showed itself with this update..
I'm not very familiar with Win-policies, but all of them looked unconfigured. Anyways, I tried to delete policies with CMD RD /S /Q "%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicy" and RD /S /Q "%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers" with a subsequent restart. Unfortunately this didn't resolve the issue either..
It's not related to corrupt download. As this issue affects both my PC's and each was updated separately.
Open for suggestions since I'm running out of ideas.. Hope Stardock can look into any changes in ver 1.1 that could cause this issue.
