Love the new start menu's that start11 brings, but I want to be able to move my task bar to a non primary monitor. I'm currently using startallback to move the task bar, but unfortunately these two programs do not play well together at all.
2 monitors. I want the primary to stay on the left but I want the main taskbar and notifications to be on the right (so that games launch properly but I still get notifications and such on the other monitor).
I personally use a combination, 2, 3 and 7. I really would like to not have to have task bars on all my monitors just to get it on one, also most of the functionality of the taskbar on the main monitor doesn't work on the secondaries, making it kinda useless to put it on all monitors. Anyone, especially gamers with multiple monitors really don't want to be forced into having it on the primary monitor since it will always be covered regardless.
Any updates on if this will be added? I had to finally switch to windows 11 a couple months ago and it has been driving me nuts from day 1 that I can't move the main taskbar off my primary display.
As some people have said, this is a common thing if you're gaming or otherwise using programs that need to be fullscreen. Often times these programs do not remember or do not let you choose or even switch which display it appears on, and you lose access to a few things if both are forced to be on the primary monitor. Especially since in many games, good luck trying to minimize it smoothly/at all.
The system tray is home to a lot of useful tools, minimized apps, monitoring apps, expanded calendar/clock, audio controls, all kinds of stuff that is useful to have available.
I downloaded the trial of Start11 today as google searching led me here and I've used other Stardock software in the past, but without this feature this isn't one I'll be getting for the time being.
Hello all and thanks for posting.
We appreciate your feedback. Users have requested this before, but there is no news at this time on implementation. For the time being, the ability to hide the taskbar on the primary monitor is possible. However, I'll add the feedback here to our log on the request.
