Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.
The autohiding taskbar issue on second monitors is an ongoing issue on all the 22000.xxx builds.Apparently they have fixed this on the 225xxx.xxx branches, but they have not ported the code to the older builds.
It is quite annoying, as that would mean we'd have to wait a year to see this fixed, as the release cadence now is just that.
The workaround for this is to move the mouse anywhere to the bottom of the hidden taskbar, and right click. That will force the taskbar to appear. But then, if you want to actually click on something, you have to move the mouse to a different area of the taskbar first and then select. Depending on what was selected as the active task, you may end up minimizing all tasks first. All this maneuver in itself can be quite frustrating, but at least it is a way to have this work partially
My 30-day trial is soon over and they want me to buy Start11. The software do not work correct so why buy?
1/1.01 (probably both) - Configure > Start Menu for Win 10 Style > Configuration > Shortcut List:
I can ADD 14 Shortcuts with no issue, BUT when I ADD the 15th Shortcut:
the User Login Avatar is shoved past the Top of the Start Menu (in real-time, so it's easy to check).
When I remove the 15th Shortcut, the display returns to normal.
The Start Menu needs to auto-SIZE to adjust to longer Shortcut lists (I believe MS Win 10 did.)
Sometimes when I click on a menu item, nothing happens for about 15 to 20 seconds and then if I wait, it will eventually open.In the past, explorer.exe has crashed and restarted when this happens. But with this Beta version, up until this point, I am still getting the delays, but not the explorer.exe crashes. The delays in the menu response appear to be happening soon after waking the computer from sleep.
I do know that ALL taskbar issues were put on complete hold until the actual start menu was perfected. It is my understanding that the taskbar and all taskbar issues are now in development although no beta releases have dropped yet. Currently, there is no time table of when one will be released and the exact path of what is being developed is not yet completely clear other then a couple of confirmed considerations. With that said, I do think some sort of developers journal or official update on what to expect of start 11 v1.1 would be beneficial unless a new Beta is about to become available.
Start11 Support FAQ
please define, "Coming soon" comment from 5 months ago.
While it's overdue for some basic content to be there, generally, time \ issue popularity dictates what is included in an FAQ.
If you have an issue you need help with, please create a thread and it will be addressed.

You are able to resize the menu yourself to taller if you wish to have so many shortcuts in the quick access shortcut list. Just drag the menu from the top.
I actually prefer to have it remember the last page I was on so having an option to remember that or always use first page when opening Start would be a better option.
I have personal stuff on page 1, work stuff on page 2. I have to open a bunch of work stuff at once so being able to open Start and click all those work things quickly instead of having to change the page every time is really nice.

Unrelated to this but don't want to double post. Having an option for pages to be vertical instead of horizontal would also be nice as an option for those who don't put that much stuff per page or those who keep Start at a larger size. It would be more intuitive/fluid to be able to use our scroll wheel to change pages instead of having to actually click the next page. Again, as an option, not a permanent change.
An update on this.
Having checked on a Win11 install this problem IS fixed with 1.01 here.
Therefore we need more information on the computers which are experiencing this problem.
1) What version of Win11 are you running exactly? Including full build number
2) How are you accessing the popup? Is it by clicking on the taskbar with a mouse, touch input, or via some hotkey?
3) Do you have anything else on your computer which might interact with the taskbar in any way?
4) If you have the keyboard layout switcher on your computer due to multiple languages (Win+space will trigger), does this also get clipped and position itself incorrectly?
5) What language version of Win11 are you using?
The expected behaviour is for those two popups to both not get clipped at the top and they should appear near the top of the screen when the taskbar is at the top. The clock / calendar window will appear at the bottom due to how that works. That one has never been clipped.
I actually can confirm I am having the same issue. I do not really use my taskbar at the top of the screen so I have not noticed before. I do have Start 1.01 Beta installed.
1) 22000.348
2) Mouse, logitech M510
3) Yes. explorer patcher. I have tried with both it activated and deactivated with the same result. Deactivation is by changing the dll file name and restarting explorer so a residual effect is possible.
4) No
5) Windows 11 English. Clean install from iso on Microsoft page.
To answer the above 5 questions:
1. Win 11 Pro 22000.3482. Logitech USB-mouse3. No.4. No.5. Windows 11 Pro English
Thanks! I should have realized that.
