I know the software is "not compatible yet" with windows 11, but just to say that even if i updated to 1.19.1, after installation, the software is still in 1.19, and object desktop still show the "update" button, like it didn't installed or it's in a time tunnel hole !
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Well curtains now tell me it's incompatible and i can't install it lol even if it was incompatible it was working (even if it had some bugs) ...
the purge purged as well some windows setting that i had to set back, like the windows 11 theme (back in light instead of dark) and the wallpaper, used by desktapes 11. thansk for the help, hope i can install again curtains at least for testing purpose.
For testing purpose, it best to do when Curtains come up with Beta for Windows 11. Not, while it clearly not compatible with Windows 11. Which already mentioned by Curtains Dev himself. If you still do, that please don't be surprise if issue arise.
Thank you,

No problem at all, i'm used to that, just asking myself why 1.19 could be installed and not the 1.19.1
Because 1.19 was released before Windows 11 existed and therefore before it was known it did not work on that OS.
As we now know it does not work, the installer is blocking installation with the update to avoid customer complaints / confusion.
That make totally sens, thanks for the information ! we'll wait then .
actually I have curtains 1.19 installed and working under windows11. the 1.19.1 release breaks the functionality. I have also gotten more than one update under windows 11 until this release.
Curtains does not work correctly on Windows 11. You probably have blank titlebars in a number of apps for a start.
No, all apps are titled except for the ones that should not have titles.
Trust us, it does not work correctly.
Launch notepad for example and look closely at the titlebar with a custom style applied. It will be transparent to whats under it.
oh I already know about the transparency glitches. I figured out a solution on day one.
just disable the in-app transparency settings for now until the dev finds a fix for the incompatibility.
it works better after that. for the record, its the only problem on my machine.
windowblinds however died outright after 20h2. hasnt worked since.
Even then it will not be actually applying any titlebar images or shadows. Only custom titlebar buttons will apply on anything other than UWP apps.
I believe explorer background transparency is also broken.
The taskbar will not skin unless you are using Start11 as well as it will be piggybacking on Start11's support of Win11, but alone it wouldn't handle the taskbar.
As I have said, it does not work correctly on Windows 11 hence we will no longer allow installs on that OS to avoid customer confusion.
WindowBlinds 10 works correctly on 21h1 and 21h2 Windows 10. It does not support Windows 11 however. If you had problems on 21h1 it sounds like you were not running the latest version of WB.
windowblinds stopped dead cold on its own after some KB update from microsoft and that is why I installed curtains in its place. and I did DL and install the most recent version months PRIOR to windows 11 and it still wouldn't run. in fact I was watching the screen when it shut itself down originlly.
It seems that having the "Replace the Microsoft Edge new tab button" option turned on when Edge is set to use vertical tabs causes Edge to become very sluggish. The option doesn't seem to actually have an effect with vertical tabs, anyway, so there's no need to have it turned on in that case, but it should not be causing that issue. My Windows 10 version is 21H1 Build 19043.1466.
Hello, I bought the Stardok Curtains app before the release of Windows 11. Can I ask if in the future this app will be fully functional in Windows 11? I still have it on my PC after upgrading to a newer system, but updating is not possible.
Thank you in advance for the answer.
I believe there is plan to release a new upgrade version of Curtains that work with Windows 11 within 2022.
Did you mean to post this under Start11 perhaps? If so, this may be the appropriate answer if running under Windows 11:

Hello,
So far, there is no further official announcement yet on development of Curtains for Windows 11.
Thanks - BTW - I installed it on Windows 11 as a trial by changing the compatibility on the install executable to Windows 8.
It installed glitch free (Install only read on)- HOWEVER - The window panes work, the taskbar works (Providing you disable all presets in Windows itself or it takes on what you have changed and doubles up) the interiors do not and the explorer windows are random. It's also worth noting it destabilises the explorer space so I uninstalled it. I have a GEN 11, 128GB RAM and a Radeon 8GB 6600XT that is pretty stable. So it works fine in other words (from my tests only) with two issues -Explorer display issues(missing MANY features of Curtains) and destabilising the explorer itself.
It's also probably worth noting that if I did not have Start 11 installed, the results would likely have been more unpredictable.
