Stardock team, there needs to be the ability to remove a document from the recent documents window in Start 11, even the basic Windows 11 start menu has this critical functionality, yet when I click right click a document in recent documents there is no remove this document from the list. Makes the list bloat up with documents that are not going to be accessed again or sensitive documents you do not want displayed in the list.
The ability to remove documents from the list on right click is something that is critically needed.
Hello,I have forward your request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks

Hi, I'm not sure any change is needed to Start11. It is getting this information from Windows 11, so turning it off there should be all that is needed. The following is working for me:
1. Go into Settings > Personalization > Start
2. Turn off "Show Recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer"
3. (Not sure if this bit is needed but to be sure that anything present is cleared). Open Explorer > right click on quick Access and select Options, then select General tab if not already selected.
4. from Drop Down Menu select Quick Access then press the Clear button in Privacy
5. From the Down Menu select This PC then press the Clear button in Privacy.
6. Change the Open File Explorer setting is back to its original value and press Apply
7. Now go to the Start11 Menu. If it still has items on the Recent then right click on one of them and choose "remove from list" that should remove everything from the Start11 list.
8. When you open a new document of some sort it should not now appear on the Start11 menu
The ability to remove was added as I requested, it is not that I did not want the functionality of recent/favorite documents, I wanted the ability to selectively remove documents that were private like banking spreadsheets or other documents that I use regularly but do not want advertised in the start menu for anyone who I let use my computer to just immediately see. The Stardock team read and understood my actual request and put in the fix. Thanks StarDock!
