Start menu All Apps scrolling is only partially working in the Windows 10 style - you can hold-drag the scroll bar OK, but not get it to move by clicking on the area below the slider or using the mouse scroll wheel. Otherwise a great app!
Follow-up:
I hope Stardock staff are watching this thread closely. Can someone from Stardock please acknowledge the issues reported thus far? I do NOT mean to sound "rude" or anything, but there are quite a number of issues being reported, especially for a "Version 1.0" product. I loved Start 8 and 10. I loved ModernMix for Windows 8. (That was a life-saver.) Hope Stardock shows Start11 some love SOON! P.S.: An ETA would be nice, too. (THANK YOU!)
We are always watching (that sounds creepy).
No problems whatsoever except I would still like the option to add a fully functioning recycle bin on the taskbar as well as hide the corner icons. I attached a screenshot of a freeware program called MiniBin which adds this feature to the corner icons so I know this is workable under Windows 11. Minibin uses very little system recourses and has zero affect on system performance other then an added convenience. Minibin also allows the flexibility to change your recycle bin icon to anything you like. One other feature that Windows 11 removed which makes zero since with center placed taskbar option is having the ability to stack open icons. Microsoft removing this feature under Windows 11 makes no since.

Issue is selecting configure start 11 (right click taskbar) brings up the product but leaves artifacts at my taskbar. I cannot snip these screenshots, as the artifacts clear up for such snips but reappear when snip is cleared. So using cell phone. Screen refresh does not clear.
can I make a feature request here?
- can it be done that when I press CTL+ALT (or some other key combo) and click on an app to execute it with admin privilege?
Ctrl plus shift does what you want.
2. The Windows Terminal shortcut does not work.
3. Apps and programs have been (optionally) merged to the same folder, which is something I had requested in the past and is now a feature! Thanks for that
Do you have Microsoft Terminal installed?
It is not installed by default on Windows 10.
does not work for MS Store apps, like Windows Terminal
Option to disable balloon tips. One of my programs has tool bars on the bottom and sometimes the blonde tips come up and cover the toolbar and I can't use the toolbar. There use to be a way to do it in windows registry but it doesn't seem to work with start 11.
Having no idea why this won't upload. I changed the size.
Problems with Search
I have set Start 11 not to use Start 11 Search - this gives me the preferred look of the start menu without a search box. However I still use start search, and when I do it inevitably misses out a few letters while it's loading the other search panel. So for example, I'll type Windows Key + spotify and the search panel will open having done a search for 'potify'.
Problems quitting Start 11
Not sure what I'm supposed to do to quit the program? There is no taskbar icon I can right click, and no option in the program (I understand you can turn off all the features, but I'm guessing the program will still run). It would be good to have a quit option either in the system tray or main window. Similarly it would be good to have an option in the main program to say whether I want the program to run on start up.
At the moment if I want to quit Start 11 it looks like I'd need to use Task Manager, and I'm not sure where to go to adjust start up options.
If I'm missing something please let me know.
Previous comments about tile spacing removed. I misunderstood what 'show more tiles' etc. means. Me being silly and not testing fully.
Many thanks for a program that meets a genuine need. I notice there is a lot of publicity for Start11 and hope it catches on. It seems to me that we cannot have a 'one size fits all' approach to the Windows GUI so Microsoft is in an impossible position.Clearly, making it better for some makes it worse for others!
The reason for the large space is because you enabled "show more tiles" and you haven't placed anything in the 4th column - this was the same in real Win10
When you set ur taskbar to be small it only does it on the middle screen and on the extra monitors it only makes the icons small but not the bar itself
Start11 is not a product that has a 'quit' function. It is designed to be a native integrated feature of the OS so like the Windows Start Menu, you can't quit it. Closing the processes will not stop Start11 once it has started. You can stop it loading in a given session using the Start10tweak app included in the install directory.
With regards to the search issue, that surprises me as whilst Start10 had a problem with loss of keystrokes, Start11 changed things to avoid that and we have not had further reports of this. If you only want the no search look you can hide the search field and keep the Start11 search.
We have this resolved for a future update.
Ok thanks for the reply. Yes using Start 11 search has no such issue and is much slicker. I guess anyone who wants to use the native search will still experience that issue though.
I appreciate what you're saying about Start 11 being so tightly integrated that quitting would be difficult to implement, however I still think it would be good to be able to configure whether or not you want Start 11 to open on start up from within the app. That way if you really did want to disable it you could flip the switch and just log out/restart.
If your goal is to be able to use the native Start menu in Windows at any point of your choosing, you can do that with this option:
If you want a more prominent option, just select it as a style:
If you want it still installed but not running on boot, you can disable the service:
Is there any plan, when 1.1 will be ready?
I plan to switch to Win11, but I want to wait until I can import my actual startmenu into Start11.
I installed Switch11 on my test-system and really like it. Thanks for that!
Udo
Soon-ish.
I'm also experiencing this on Windows 11 (I specifically noticed it in the Windows 11 style). I have the "Use Start11 search in the Start11 start menu" option turned off and the "Hide search box unless searching" option on. Often when I begin searching after clicking the start button, the first letter can get left out. If I perform a search, click on the taskbar, then click on the Windows button to do a search again, nothing happens the second time. I need to click somewhere else first (on an open app, or on an icon that opens an app) before I can search again.
Another problem I'm having is that I can't pin new items to the start menu in any style in Start11, and if I unpin something, I can't get it back. Pinning works fine in the native start menu, but pinned items aren't working for me in Start11.
Finally, there's a large gap (blank space) between the pinned items I do see and the bottom of the start menu (in Windows 11 style). This is a gap within the start menu (not a gap between the start menu and the taskbar), and it would be nice if Start11 removed that extra space and only opened the start menu as tall as the amount of apps you have pinned.
Hi I'm trying Start11, just to report that when I set Taskbar on Top on Windows 11, when I click to open Windows toggles it appear cutted on the top. When the taskbar is on the bottom, the toggles box is ok. Thank's
Is there any ETA for the curtains fix yet (that affects start11 centre icons)? Last week it was said late last week or this week. It's now Thursday and still no update (I know we technically still have 1 day left but still).
