I know it's an experimental feature, but when enabling the LoadTiles registry and pinning Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio Installer on the Win10 style menu the tiles for these items are blank.
Repositioning groups on Windows 10 style Start Menu with version 0.94.(Running on Windows 10 and testing the Windows 10 style start menu of Start 11 prior to upgrade.)
Repositioning of groups now works (or maybe I only just found out how) but I've never seen anything quite like it.As a group is moved around, all the other groups turn into just title bars as previously reported. The group (to be moved) must then be moved around ABOVE all the title bars.As you do this, a counterpart title bar also moves around amongst the others. This is the one that will be frozen in the chosen position once the mouse button is released.Well, it does seem to work so far and is not a very big issue for me at least!
START 11 does NOT work as designed ...
Specifically, selecting any of the 'Start Menu' choices does not alter the Windows 11 start menu in any way -plus- selecting specific 'settings' does not either. This software requires a complete re-work. NRS.
IT'S AMAZING STARDOCK DEVELOPER(S) ISSUE A PRODUCT UPGRADE TODAY, YET ARE [APPARENTLY] OBLIVIOUS TO THE ABSOLUTE CRAP START 11 SOFTWARE IS.
FIX IT STARTDOCK!!
Chulamin, is that full-screen mode you're using?I can't get the top row populated when using full-screen, see my post here:

Do you have your "use the start11 start menu" slider switched to "on"
For Luna55:
These are my settings:
I have noticed that the height of the taskbar on my left monitor is larger than the one on my right. The right one is my main display. I can't find a way to individually set the taskbar size so I assume they are both controlled with the same setting. I just noticed that when I set to Large or Medium they are equal in height. If I set to small then the left is taller and right shorter.
It sounds like something is conflicting with the software as you are the only person to report a problem like this.
My initial guess would be an AV app breaking installation. What antivirus package do you use and any other malware protection apps?
Also what are your hardware specifications?
Ah, thanks, that's not full-screen, I have the same as you that way.
What happens if you enable "Use fullscreen menu" on? Ar your groups offset from the top of the screen by one row as well like in my pictures?
If you use "Windows 10" menu style and you have "use fullscreen menu" checked and also "show app list in start menu" is checked, the latter is ignored.
Not sure if this is considered a bug, because it correctly mimices the behaviour in Windows 10. But I always hated this behaviour in Windows 10 (it was one of the reasons that the tablet mode was completely unusable).
I would like to have a fullscreen menu, that still immediately would show the app list left of the tiles.
Of course, if the display is too small to support this, than it is of course logical to autmatically hide the list. (For me, I sometimes RDP on my computer from my smartphone. In Portrait mode, that leaves not much space for the start menu. But if I use my computer nomarly, or RDP from my tablet or so, there would be enough space to show the app list).
nedsomers. Please note this thread is in reference to Start 11 RC3 Issue Report.
'RC' stands for 'release candidate'. It's a later equivalent to 'alpha' and 'beta' and is intended to reach more people to actually document [and replicate] 'ISSUES'.
If you cannot be part of the solution can you please avoid being part of the problem.
Thank you.

Honestly I think I got that nice layout by a fluke. I'm not sure I want to play with the settings again. At one point I did have a large space at the top above the icons. From what I recall changing the icon shortcut size to small is what finally got me to where I am now. Even now sometimes the icons are slow to load and occasionally the app list doesn't show up. It can also take a number of clicks for any of it to show up altogether. I have to remind myself that I'm on the latest Windows 11 dev version and that could be messing with Stardock as well.
Feature request: In Windows 10 mode, with the full app list hidden, is there any way the menu could be made even narrower at it's smallest? I'm thinking like accommodating 2.5 medium sized tiles instead of 3. Or the width used when you switch to the app list. Pictures on request to explain if you need it.
Hi!I am using the Windows 7-style Start Menu. I noticed a small cosmetic glitch, where, once the Start button is clicked, the user photo (top right side) appears in its final place right from the beginning, and does not slide up together with the entire animation. The animation itself feels not as smooth as it used to be with older versions, too.
Another cosmetic issue that I'm seeing, I am able to reproduce only on one of my multi-screen setups (this cannot be reproduced on my other multi-screen system). With that particular system, the taskbar appears to be rendered incorrectly on one of the screens (the smallest one, size-wise), where it bears some kind of bottom "padding". This, in turn, makes the taskbar look taller. The screenshot below illustrates this behavior (the rightmost taskbar corresponds to the smallest screen):
Lastly, would it be possible to provide an option where the italic font type that's in the "Search programs and files" textbox could be changed to a regular font type? Thanks!
Is there anyway to remove the black line between the transparent start menu and background?
There is an about 1 pixel thick long black line across entire desktop.
Which OS are you on?
I'm in version 0.94 and centring doesn't work for me as well.
The screenshot also includes the Windows version for better understanding and I use only one monitor.
Please check the screenshots below.
Start11 ver 0.94 - W10 style
W11 PRO Workstation 22000.282
issue: this is new behavior that I haven't seen with previous builds; the very 1st time I open the Start Menu, the applications list is not populated - if I close it and press Start again, it will work
screenshot:
OK, installed the latest 0.94 version and it works, now.
zme-ul,
how do you set the tile color to blue? All my tiles are gray, no matter what background i'm using...
If you right click on a tile you can change the colour of the tile.
Outstanding amount of, "Fixes" on Stardock's part. I consider myself lucky most of these errors I have not encountered.
However not many new options. Hopefully more will come as it gets closer to final release.
