We are creating this thread should any community members wish to post translations for languages or updates to ones that already exist.
The Languages that Stardock supports and will update:
English
German
Spanish
French
Korean
Russian
Portuguese - Brazil
Chinese (Simplified)
Chinese (Traditional)
All other languages will not be directly supported by Stardock nor will they be included in any install.
Where are language files stored?
For Stardock applications that support language edits, there will be a 'lang' directory in the application installation folder. For example, Start11s would be:
\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11\lang
An app that does not support language edits would not have that directory (Fences would be an example of one that does not).
The .lng files listed there are human-readable text files - easily edited in notepad for example.
How are language files formatted?
The format would be:
'English text'='translated text'
English (en) file example:
"Which theme do you want to use?"="Which theme do you want to use?"
Spanish (es) file example:
"Which theme do you want to use?"="¿Qué tema quieres usar?"
For prime languages that have variations, Chinese (Traditional \ Simplified) or Portugues (Brazil) for example, the following line needs to exist:
Exist=1Example:
If you wanted to add a notation to a line, to describe a reason for some translation perhaps, you can use the semicolon as an escape character.
Example:
;Changed from;"Which style of start menu would you prefer?"="选择「开始」菜单样式:";To"Which style of start menu would you prefer?"="选择「开始"
Note: The English file included with the installer should have the most recent phrases for everything in the UI. If the phrase does not exist in the currently supported alternant language, adding it, with its translation, would be required.
Submitting languages
The following post would be an example of what would be acceptable to have it be considered for inclusion.
Line number (Notepad++ has them for example):Old Text:New text:Shared link to lng file: <link>
One should be sure that the text fits in the UI, for example, this would be unacceptable:
We will monitor this thread for submissions and evaluate any of the Stardock supported languages for inclusion in an official update \ installer.
We will do the same for any unsupported languages, and update this thread with them, but they will not be included in any official installation file.
Clients that do summit translations for the aforementioned Stardock supported languages, and they are accepted into an install, will likely be compensated with non-monetary items - for example, new or extensions to Object Desktop subscriptions.
We appreciate any effort members put into this.

Lingua italiana: file aggiornato alla versione 1.2 di Start11
GDrive - Scarica
Sería positivo que todas las personas que estamos traduciendo Start11 a nuestros respectivos idiomas, respetásemos la estructura del archivo de idioma en.lng, y fuésemos añadiendo las nuevas líneas o líneas que faltan al final de nuestros archivos. Deberíamos mantener una estructura uniforme para todos los archivos de idioma, y facilitar así el trabajo de los desarrolladores de Start11 . Saludos!!!
It would be positive if all the people who are translating Start11 into our respective languages, respected the structure of the language file en.lng, and were adding the new lines or lines that are missing at the end of our files. We should maintain a uniform structure for all language files, and thus facilitate the work of Start11 developers. Best regards!!!

Paste the tr.lng file in;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11\lang
there is a bug on the Italian translation.
When you click two or three times with the right mouse button to lock the position of the wrapped icons, the text is in English and wrapped in Italian.
because ?
As I wrote in another post, not all the translations made by Start11 are listed in the*.lng files, some entries simply defaults to english.
Please, keep notifying them as soon as you find it, so all users who translate in their own language can simply add them at the end of the list. That's because everyone uses his personal configuration of Start11 and it's quite difficult to explore every single combination (f.e. I wasn't able to reproduce the one above).

I have some problem when using it in Korean
1. indexing in all apps
left: start11 right: windows11
Korean combined letters by syllable
ㄱ(g)+ㅖ(ye)->계(gye)
So when indexing Korean letter it should be grouped by the first letter(ㄱㄴㄷㄹㅁㅂㅅㅆㅇㅈㅊㅋㅌㅍㅎ) not cominbed letters(가계규나너알...)
double first letter(ㄲ,ㅆ,ㅉ,ㅃ) belong to single first letter(ㄱ,ㅅ,ㅈ,ㅂ)
2. search panel does not pop up immediatly
when I press windows button and type korean it does not changed to search panel immediatly.
It changed when typing second one.
1.ㄱ(type ㄱ)
2.가(type ㅏ)
4.간(type ㄴ)(noting happen)
5.가나(type ㅏ)(search panel show up)
Are you able to make this right by altering the ko.lng file here:
Thank you for your work on keeping these up to date quickly! I have added an ObjectDesktop subscription to your account

Did someone find some new entry to translate in latest 1.23 beta version?
Seems identical to v1.22.
I didn't find anything.
Thanks for your feedback.
AFAIK this is the only untraslated string I founf, but it comes from several versions ago:
Altough I added it in my language file, Start11 does not pick it up:
