File version updated to 11.0.0.0, removes BETA 5 text from about box
Fixes an issue with the effects list not being scaled correctly when on high dpi setups sometimes
Forces per virtual desktop walls to blank and restarts Explorer in that situation when you have multiple walls set on the virtual desktops to ensure no problems with switching virtual desktops making DeskScapes stop.
There was an error within the release of 10.95. Version 10.96 is a fix for that. This would have resulted in clients receiving two update notices in the same day - we apologize for any confusion and frustration.
This is a compatibility update as we work towards new features for release in 2022.
Updated DS build with a workaround for issue with Fences show desktop override.

Edit: Removing and reinstalling fixed the issue. Did not need to remove prior config.

If I got the location wrong, I apologize and ask moderation to put this post in the right place.
Here is my problem:
For some time now, around 3 weeks, a month...), my ATS2 (American Truck Simulator2) has been turning off for no apparent reason and I return to the desktop. However, before that, my game returned to the desktop, unexpectedly, without closing. I have had this game since: 2021. Apart from these returns on the desktop, which have faded over time, I had no concerns.
Now the game shuts down immediately.
I'm looking for where it comes from. I used SFC and DISM, to no avail.
I dumped the startup (but without knowing how to do it, to prevent Deskscape from starting).
I like the software, there’s no photo! I know that there are lots of people who think that this software is useless: yet when I have people at home, it has its little effect...
I use an additional keyboard, the SKP MMo 30. I uninstalled the software: still the same.
I do not know what to do anymore...

I did what I could!
Via the task manager, Startup applications, I removed everything, except Defender, Nvidia and bluetooth.
Then, as it didn't seem to stop, I said to myself that there must be a service somewhere and I found it:
I just played for about an hour and a half and I didn't have any bad surprises. However, there's more to life than just gaming (😒) and so I'm postponing a longer test until tomorrow. Today, the Kansas DLC was released, this to bring you up to speed.

I will keep you informed of any unexpected outages, with ATS Deskscape having nothing to do with it. I spent a week there, but I found: it's material. It's my G29, which had its PS3-PS4 selector, which was worn and jumping.
I took it apart, put a piece of folded paper in to reduce the play and it worked.
So, it was not a program that caused these shutdowns.

Hello,
I am unable to install Deskscapes 11 either Prod or Beta
Prod version ends with red box: Problem code 129
I've uninstalled previous installation, rebooted and now cannot install at all.
Beta install error
I do have a D: drive (mapped to NAS) and not sure why install is looking for D: anyway.
Win 11 32GB RAM
Can anyone help?

Do you perhaps have Public folders mapped there? DS puts some Dreams items there. For example:

Yes, I see D:\Stardock\Dreams left over from previous install ( though I don't know why Deskscapes has chosen to use D:)
Still waiting on help with this problem installing Deskscapes.
Deskskapes does not 'choose' anything other than Public folder and what you told it to look at in the past.
If you have mapping issues, I am afraid I cannot help with that. My suggestion would be to see if purging \ resinstalling helps

Well, I followed the directions and I'm still getting this error:

I'm having compatibility issues between deskscapes 11, and wincustomize 11
wincustomize 11 keeps 'stealing' the background from deskscapes and showing slideshows of all my images which I do not want. There seems to be no setting in deskscapes or wincustomize to stop wincustomize from taking over the background.
It's really easy to reproduce: If the setting 'pause background when full screen or maximized" is used in deskscapes, wincustomize will take over and change the background every time an app is Fullscreen.
Why do so many off your apps try to walk on each others toes? let the background app do the background, let the skinning app do the skinning, etc. This is why I have never bought object desktop but have only bought 1 or 2 of your apps in the last 20 years despite how bad I've wanted more of them. Anytime I have tried the trials out there have been conflicts between some of the apps I wish to use.
thankfully Stardock apps only conflict with other Stardock apps, I've never had compatibility issues with anything else.
