Several times now I was prompted to select a new technology to research - just to be interrupted by a popup for launching a colony ship - just to be interrupted by some survey selection.
This is especially annoying if the survey selection offers a speedup for the "current research" - which I wanted to select two positions down the "popup stack".
Selecting the speedup first and then selecting a new technology gives no speedup/bonus at all.
I wish the necessary selections would be "queued" instead of "stacked":

One this that Galciv does poorly compared to for example Stellaris - all of the pop-ups are modal, which seems to be a terribly outdated design. It means you can't check ANYTHING before having to make a decision on a popup.
