I have 14 items on my desktop
If you are on 3.13 and rebooted after the update, that is expected.
If you are on 3.09, you will keep getting prompted. If you want to shut it of, that option has always been available to you:

Again, if you update to 3.13 and reboot right after, you should be fine.

I have the same problem with the icon text....
I don't have any options to turn off HDR... how do I fix?
Just to confirm. you only have one monitor? If yes or both of your monitors of the same brand please post a screenshot showing us what you are looking at.

Any update on this issue? It is becoming more of a problem as the popup is overlaying as I work. Yesterday I was on a Teams meeting screen sharing, and I couldn't click on / edit an item during a demo because of it.

Yes, only one monitor. Icon text becomes transparent when changing fences pages. Text shadows stay.

In preparation to do the purge, uninstall, re-install, I first took a snapshot then deleted my existing fences (I have 7, all Folder Portal). I immediately noticed the popup issue was gone. So I rebooted (without doing anything else), then recreated my 7 Folder Portal fences, and so far I have not seen the issue re-appear. Hopefully it was a weird artifact of upgrading with existing fences, and re-creating them after the upgrade seemed to resolve the issue.
I have found that 3 icons wide fences sometimes get slightly smaller and instead display 2 columns. Resizing the fence makes all 3 columns of icons appear, but without visually making the fence wider. I have the setting enabled for even multiples. The bug seems to happen pretty randomly after I shut down my computer, but I have not been able to reproduce it.
This column (3) stacks with the two others when it happens, even though there is visually enough place for them to fit

BTW, can we know more on your graphics setups. Monitor resolution, Scaling factors, Nvidia, AMD or Others card, connection type etc?
And Windows version, please use Windows Winver.exe to get Windows full version numbers.

it seems that this problem disappeared by itself
i think what happens is that some other programs have changed some video settings
so after some days, this problem goes away, likely due to me restart my pc from scratch.
unfortunately, i was unable to duplicate the problem so i have no clue which program is the culprit

I have bought and refunded the software yesterday. I've decided to check your forum and see if I could find a solution to my issues. I really would like to buy you software back after you solve the errors.As Wallpaperengine was having troubles with compability, probably some other software I use may also causing the problem and It's probably DisplayFusion. I Do have multiple monitors and fences would really help me organizing.I'll keep looking for updates where multiple monitors/displayfusion issues would be fixed.Thanks.
Ever since installing Fences 3.1.3.3 (over the top of a prior installation) my desktop background disappears intermittently (!). Moreover, sometimes individual en-fenced icons (which are not the only icons within any given fence) appear only on mouse-over. I have Windows 10 Pro - 21H1 (2009: 19043). Please advise. I could do without this hassle and I wish I had not upgraded (or rather 'upgraded') Fences.
I upgraded to Fences 3.13 on Windows Pro 20H2. After reboot, my desktop is completely blank. If I navigate to the desktop folder in explorer, all my files are present and available. Double-Clicking on the desktop does nothing. Right clicking on the desktop shows my right click menu with 'Enable Fences' as an option. However, choosing that option does nothing. I can 'run' fences from the start menu (yea Start 10), and it starts. It shows Version 3.1.3 and fences is enabled. Snapshots of my desktop are there, but restoring one again does nothing. disabling and enabling fences does nothing as well. I also tried disabling the double click to hide desktop.
At this point, I uninstalled and installed version 3.09. Now fences are back, but are moved to a different monitor (I have 3) when I reboot.
If "purge" and "reinstall fences" will result in having to rebuild my fences, I'm not interested. I'm a long term Fences user and don't want to waste hours trying to reconstruct years of fence building.
After many years of using Stardock products without problems, I'm very disappointed by all of the problems with this update - and will be hesitant to use your products in the future.

Update - Rebooted after re-installing v3.1.3.3 and so far, no more pop-up messages. Will only report back if the issue re-appears.

Having an issue where the update pop up keeps popping up, installed ver 3.1.3.3 same as the one it wants to install. won't install, won't stop bugging me. How do I stop this?
Do the update one more time and immediately Reboot , test and report back
that should stop it from trying to update again .
Is Stardock working upon a maintenance release that fixes the problems?
