I am a founding member of GC3, I played for years before release and years after. I very much want to be part of that again with GC4. I do not see info anywhere on how to do that.
Ditto on what they said. Founder for 3 want in on early 4
I hope that once the beta period opens up something along the lines of the Founders edition comes along. I mean you could do several levels of founders versions and have the "you get it all" founders as well as the "you get it early at a slight discount thank you for participating in feedback whilst we beta"
I just read the FAQ, was to excited to read it at first. I just hope I am able to get in the alpha once released. Trust me I will play the crap out of the game. I am very good at breaking alpha's and reporting.
Yea, Founder here as well and I see that Alpha will be offered in June.
If I can repost the meme of 'shut up and take my money' from futurama ..........
I know right.. I have over 1000 hours on base GC3 and I bet I had just as much in GC3 alpha. I got my 100$ worth.
Rats! Logged on with an alt.
Ah, that's better.
My original post..
Yet another GC3 founder here. Looking forward to CG4. Not sure about getting into the alpha, but I'll be waiting (impatiently) for the game.
I should start hitting F5 now, right?
I am also a founder elite member of GC3 and would love to do that again. I really enjoyed GC3 (and GC2, and GC on OC/2), so this is a game I would love to play and help provide feedback on.
yet another founder chiming in that they would like to give Stardock the amount for the base game in June and do a possible upgrade if offered later down the road. I would start hitting f5 on the forums come June 1st looking for that alpha announcement. I won't have the cash to do a lifetime purchase right at the start but if there's a upgrade option for $60, I could swing that.
Yep, we'll have the alpha available next month.
Same here, GC3 founder and would do it again.
Will GC3 founders have a "privilege" like first in line for GC4 founder?
And damn you , my work is gonna suffer today for not being able to think clearly after this news
Same here!!! looking to join ASAP. (June per Frogboy)
It's interesting how much things have changed since 2014 in terms of being able to run founder programs.
So the short answer is that we will have a way for people to their their various accounts into the Stardock account so that we can, eventually, provide some sort of lifetime offer to people.
But the days of a developer being able to run a big founder program off their site using someone else's digital distribution platform have sadly passed on.
No worries though, in the long-run, we'll make sure that it all works out so that our supporters get taken care of.
Well unless the deal with Gamestop flat out precludes you from doing it... Bring back Drengin.net and handle the comparatively few founders in house?Probably not worth the headache but it is sad that such a thing isn't really possible anymore... one would think with the competition that Epic is bringing Steam would be more developer friendly rather than less..
Looking forward to it!

I agree "shut up and take my money..."!
Hi there, another GC3 founder here. I would also support a new founder program or opportunity for GC4 and it has no need to be "big" but I want to be part of it
Just for the record
Tx
o man i would love to get in on this alpha!!!
Ditto. Would love the chance to help test. I remember testing and early modding for GC3. Good times.
I would also be interested, but I am assuming you will get the chance with an Early Access buy-in of sorts. To echo some other voices though, I would like to see another Founder's edition for GalCiv4.
Hoping to be able to get involved in the Alpha. I was too poor to get in on the Founder's Program for 3, but I've been involved in betas for ToTA and Legendary Heroes.
I had this recent urge to play lots of all three GalCivs and now this is coming out this soon. Looking forward to the next chapter in the story.
What all the above said, and
"shut up and take my money..."!
Did the signup nw to wait.
If it goes like III did then I will put at lest 1k hours in alpha.
Where is the sign-up, am I completely missing it, I've looked all over the website and I'm not seeing the sign up.
Correction: I found it under the Wishlist tab for those that also didn't find it.
Just to clarify:
1) There will be some sort of option for a Founder's edition similar to GalCiv 3 at some point? That was a really good deal and glad I did it.
2) Alpha is going to be invitation or is it going to be open to pre-orderers? If the latter, will folks who pre-order have the option to upgrade to a Founder's Edition if the option isn't there immediately at equal cost to getting it outright?
