Every time I move/copy a file, I have to switch between black>to lite backgrounds in order to actually see which folder to copy/move to, it's really irritating as I have to wait for the entire program to reset itself to the new color scheme, and switch back to the original dark theme!
Is there a way to change the text color in the various themes or will this be a permanent bug?
Otherwise, this is a blot on an otherwise excellent program, thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this problem!
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more about your issue.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Please use Cairo Dark by Stardock so I can try to reproduce it on my end. And what application was that your using on the screenshot? Copy paste from? I don't think that from Windows Explorer, yes?
Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant
I'm using Cario Dark, and copying a file out of windows explorer and I'm still getting the same thing as before, yet when I use Directory Opus, my dialogue is normal... So it's explorer that screwing up!
I am trying to reproduce it by using Windows explorer and I can't get that window you shows on your screenshot. Could you please guide me how to reproduce it or post a video on it.
Sent you a PM with the video...
Hello,
Thanks for the video, watched it and saw there are anomaly in your video on how your Windows explorer work. Is there some sort of addon or tweaks applied to it? I saw the scrollbar blinking and Curtains side tabs button blinking which and your Explorer background and scroll area in different color. (refer screenshot below) I can't open that copy/move windows when I need to copy something.
For me, just select files or folders, right click on it, menu open, click copy or move, here, no Windows open for me to select folder to copy or move to. I will than just navigate my Explorer to that folder I want to put those file or folder and right click again in there. Select paste. And it copy/move there. No windows come up.
So I believe what ever you saw is an add on and that add on does not comply to Windows 10 Dark theme changes.
If so, please try disable it.
The only thing that I have is a reg edit that allows for a hidden copy to/move to command in the context menu...
But I found a workaround, apparently, enabling the "force glass background" was interfering somehow, and the minute I disabled it, the black background was no more!
So all I need to do is disable/reenable the "force glass background" in order to use the copy/move dialogue properly! The only issue with this is that not all styles come with this menu item...
I really would love to get to the root of the problem and fix it, but this workaround is simple enough to get around the issue, I will definitely continue to investigate explorer as there may be a hidden setting that I forgot about!
Thanks for your help, it is really appreciated!
