Grouping applications so that I can gather all relevant windows pertaining to one particular task in a single parent window is great, but the way this is done in Groupy right now essentially sacrifices multitasking. The user should be able to lay out windows within the group in a customizable, accessible way that facilitates multitasking and productivity, rather than having to click-click-click on tabs. So, the ability to tile the windows within a group is something I sorely miss. To take this one step further, the ideal for me would be an implementation of customizable window layouts within the group (say, a la FancyZones from MS PowerToys).
The pasted posts above are one year apart I think, both forwarded to the development team, but nothing further. So, any chance?

Hi,
I know it is not exactly what you are searching for, but using MS Power tools / Fancy Zone to lay out multiple grouped window side-by-side is also very powerful.
I disabled the Fancy Zone hold shortcut so my windows are automatically expanded into the underlying group when moved over.
So when you open a window for the first time, it is floating, but then after moving it, it goes into a group. Typically, I never use a floating window after that.
Yes, thanks for that, of course I'm already using fancy zones.
The combination of multiple desktops + fancy zones + groupy is quite powerful.
What I'm saying is that a single-window solution would still facilitate certain workflows.
