i dont know how to change language in Steam but with Epic Games launcher i dont have this option.soooo how can we change our language with Epic Games launcher?
Default language is english and my preferred language is german and this should be possible cause on steam its playable in german so why not with epic games?

If you don't want to solve the problem, you just take it easy and delete the language support.
I uninstalled the game.
Got some good news and some bad news about the Epic language support situation.
The good news is we have a better idea of what we need to do so we are confident in getting the language packs rolled into to the base game and a free update going out soon. The bad news is it will take longer than we hoped. We estimate a couple weeks or so for us to get it running right.
However, we hope to have an opt-in build out so our French, German and Russian players can test it out. Keep an eye in the coming week for this update!

Купил Игру цивилизация III на Русском языке. купил к ней дополнение. установил, а языка нет. Пустые клеточки, надписей нет. голый экран. перевод на Русский язык не работает. В Эту игру играть нельзя. очень жаль, что потратил свои деньги ( Игра куплена в Epic Games.

Sehr geehrte Supportmitarbeiter,Galciv3 ist ein geniales Spiel.Ich verstehe bloß nicht warum die Deutschübersetzung nicht auf Epic Kommt.Da es ja auch auf Steam die Deutschübersetzung gibt.Ich hoffe das das nur ein Missverständnis war und die Deutschversion auch auf Epic kommen wird.MfG

Epic and Stardock are both working on getting this fixed. I'm only CC'd on the emails but there's a bunch of back and forth on this.
I suspect in the long-term, games that are Multiplatform (or at least Steam and Epic) are going to have to rely on handling the language support themselves rather than using the service system.

Language packs have already been created. There is no translation work to do at all. Does uploading those files into the game on the Epic server needs so much time? Really? What can be the cause? Do you really need to redo the game programmation just to add the language pack for Epic version? There is something strange in all this...
Guys, that's not good for your Stardock customers and this is bad too for Epic. Why on Steam it has been correctly done?
The full version of this game with all its language packs is already existing.

On Steam, the download service looks at your language and downloads the language files to the game directory.
On Epic, this doesn't appear to exist in the same way. So instead, the game needs to be updated to download all the languages and then let the player pick the language so it can point to the right directory.
It's not a hard job but it requires engineering time to be scheduled, some sort of launcher or something to let the player pick the language easily, etc.

We are on February 11, we should expecting the release of this fix by the end of the current week.

My answer about the schedule is I hope this is not the cause that makes this long waiting for all of us... A product offered with features been announced but not included should be the priority of Stardock and Epic...

I see an important lack of communication between Epic and Stardock. Your company use a platform to sell its product and one or the other doesn't explain or ask how the system works. That may not help this scheduling thing...

Of course in the good old times we would have used a little workaround to change the language, but times changed and you want to publish a solution which satisfy every user and we are looking forward to see the results within the next week's
Hey folks. Just making sure everyone is aware that we now have French, German and Russian available on the Epic Game Store version of Galactic Civilizations III. You can find the full change log of the test build on this thread.
To download the test build you will need to separately install it on the Epic Game Store. On Steam you will need to use the opt-in build from the properties. Please check the screenshot below for where to install the test build on Epic.
