Quick question, is it possible to change which image editor is used when editing a theme? I can't seem to find an option anywhere...
thanks.
It should be using the default associated with the 'edit' verb on png files. (so what you get if you right click on a png file and select edit)
What is it opening images in for you?
Ah, ok. It's using paint
Google isn't helping much at changing the 'edit' association...

Found something...

1.) Open Regedit2.) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SystemFileAssociations\.txt3.) on the ".txt" key add new key "shell"4.) on the "shell" key add a new key "edit"5.) on the "edit" key add a new key "command"6.) Select the "command" node you should see the "(default)" string value on the right side, double click or select and press enter.7.) Should now be in the "Edit String" dialog box, and set the value to the program desire with %1.Example: (use my program.exe) you should have the full pathc:\SomeDirectory\SubDir1\MyProgram.exe %1
Normally when you right click on a file....such as xyz.jpg you get an option to 'open with' and a list of associated installed programs.
You then choose the one you want and you should also be given the option to 'always open with '.
Of course I'm sure windows 10 makes it difficult. ..as it is Microsoft 's intent to dumb down sensible functionality. ...😂
I currently have all image files opening with painshop pro, but there is no option for changing the 'edit' option. So images files 'edit' with paint, but 'open' with whatever you set 'always open with' as.
Hello,
I use this steps to change "Edit" to Fireworks and it work : https://www.techjunkie.com/windows-right-click-edit-photoshop-instead-of-ms-paint/
Thank you,

It sounds like the Paintshop pro installer didn't correctly associate the app with editing files. Open is supposed to be for viewing, edit for editing.
It's 20 years old, so maybe.
I do see this as more of a windows 10 issue though, you can change what a file is opened with from the context menu directly, but you can't change what it is edited with at all. It shouldn't be up to individual applications to set that.
Hi. I have edited your curtains windows 3.1 theme with windows 95 wallpaper, colours and window borders. Can I share it as windows 95 on wincustomize with your username? Or can you share it?
Cartelle123 ... whenever you create graphics [skins] for programs such as Windowblinds and Curtains - using another's artwork you need to seek/obtain permission to use them if you intend to release publicly. Generally the original artist will be happy to do so, but it's their decision entirely...
Usually, I think, you should ask permission from the author via Personal/Private message or Email.
