Hi, I was just wondering, in the not too distant past, as an OD subscriber, you got a 20% discount when buying a windowblinds skin.
The last year(?) this no longer seems to be the case. Besides, the skins became really expensive. For example, for a USD 6,95 skin I now have to pay € 8,95
Is that true, of am I missing something?
Thanks,
Arnoud
Al, if I'm not mistaken, you get the discount when purchasing SD software too. I could be wrong. I have had most of the software since 2004, so.....
Hey ALMonty, PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.
I took the liberty to send it to him in a private message, but seems like he hasn't noticed.
Thanks for helping him out Jan.
Thank guys I got it. It took some time for it to show up in my StarDock account.
And I'm not getting PM alerts
I'm still not getting subscription alerts.
I am but it's about an hour before I'm notified.
The discount on Master skins applies to people who have an active WinCustomize membership.
I'm not complaining about the way you conuct your business, prices, discounts, etc.. I just want the discount properly explaind and your answer is not it, or I'm too stupid to understand the obvious.
Exactly the same here.
WinCustomize Subscribers receive a 20% discount off of Master Skins. If you were not a WC Subscriber and had received the discount in the past, it was likely due to a bug in our system which allowed the discount.
And, in regards to the price changes, we were notified by our accountants that we needed to collect VAT and/or Sales tax for other countries where applicable. Due to the increase accounting and management this would have required, we partnered with FastSpring to be our official store/sales rep. Their system was already set up to handle VAT and Currency conversion. Due to the currency conversion and vat taxes being included in the price is why you are seeing a change in the pricing of Master Skins. It was just over a half a year ago when WinCustomize switched over sales going through FastSpring.
Thank you for the correct answer I've been looking for, T-Man! Got yourself a new WC subscriber, then.
I always thought (and was handled as such) that the WC subscription was part of an OD subscription.
But so now I understand it's not (or not anymore?)
Thanks for clarifying T-Man, although the result is a bit disappointing.
But then... why does it still say I am a subscriber? (see image file attached)
Well, I also just became a WC subscriber , just to be sure.
