I think this is actually only happening with [Button.InActiveMinimizeBackgroundBlock], and I'm thinking it might just be a typo because it's spelled "InActive" on that property while everything else is "Inactive" (although manually adjusting the casing in the code doesn't work either).I'm not exactly sure what the "Coloured" suffix refers to, but it's apparent some programs use those button versions and some don't, as this bug can be demonstrated here:Above, the left window is using [Button.InActiveMinimizeBackgroundBlock], and the custom image is not working. Now here, the right window is using [Button.InactiveMinimizeBackgroundBlockColoured], and the custom image is working. It's also maybe worth adding that the window buttons in particular have some other odd rendering quirks. I don't know if it's the image sizing (currently using 45x124, but I've tried many others) or what, but the edges of the buttons are getting distorted. If you look at the dark gap between the minimize and maximize button, for example, you'll see it's 2px wide:It doesn't look like much, but it's actually supposed to only be 1px, and is getting stretched when it's rendered. Compare with the original file that the buttons are sliced from:So, I'm guessing there's a reason the default themes are relying only on glyphs at the moment.
Could you provide a link to the style (private message perhaps) so I can investigate here please.
Any update on my issue? I have provided the info you requested. A little feedback to at least acknowledge you have read the reply and are looking into it would be appreciated, after all, having it stopping the Windows login screen showing is a pretty serious issue. 😕
Ok, first of all, great, with this I might be able to get simple way a good dark theme for my computer But horrible.. why in world your own software messes completely up by default already chosen and finetuned settings of another of your own software (talking about Start10... and already chosen mild higly transparent background, icon for meny and, well, pretty much everything.. and seems this does not work at all together with it.. so that nice glow under taskbar buttons probably is going to be out, because if you click the tick to use in taskbar.. well bye bye already nice taskbar...
At minimun, have there some more choises for "import Start 10" (and all other your customizing software) settings, so that it goes seemlesly to go with this (and it wold be even better, that you get all visuals to one app, but no, not the way that it overrides all the old settings and you have to start from scratch).
Grumpy old man here. Been a long time Stardock fan. Curtains is very nice. It sure would be nice to be able to see the window borders like XP had. You know they are there in 10 because you can see the mouse cursor change to a sizer icon, but the border is just invisible. Call me old fashioned, but that damn mouse shouldn't change till it contacts something visible.
Great work, thank you for the updates!
If you wish to continue to use your Start10 settings then just untick the option in Curtains to apply to the taskbar. That's why the setting is there.
We are still considering what could possibly be causing it. Right now it is outside what we would anticipate causing problems primarily because the software does not do things until you have logged in so impacting the login screen is very unexpected.
This is probably an already covered thing, but I am getting dark text on dark background on the shut down buttons. (Start 10). Sometimes the places list will be dark text on dark as well. Only issue I have actually noticed.
hi guys i installed curtains ran fine for days now says product key expired.i still have 334 vdays left.weirdest thing is i re input emaail and licence key it says activated then goes back to license key expired.
Sent you a PM,
What version of Start10 are you using and also what version of Windows 10?
Win10 v1909 build 18363.778
"Quirk"?
Windows/Text settings/Text Y offset- If I enter a negative number to shift the text up, the window captions disappear on Explorer and misc programs.
Thanks.
Keying into the margin field settings is challenging while in Dark Mode;
Hello,
I tried curtains and was off to a good start, however, i have a very complex setup with monitors and something went very wrong..
My PC powers 3 monitors on my desk and a long HDMI runs downstairs for the TV. This setup works great and I use Display Fusion to manage the profiles for upstairs/downstairs. The setup has been rock solid for years.
After installing curtains and switching profiles (basically turns off some monitors and shares 1 with the downstairs tv) the dvm got stuck in crash/restart loop. bits of theme all over the place and I had to turn off the PC at the power. This happened twice, so i uninstalled curtains and everything is back to normal when switching profiles.
I'll install again now and see what happens... but maybe try switching monitors on and off in the display control panel and see if you can reproduce? If it does it again, i'll try and collect crash logs etc.
I have noticed this:
Skype reacts to WindowFX animations while skinned by windowblinds, but does not react to WindowFX animations when skinned by Curtains.
For me, this is a no go on Curtains.
I am unable to reproduce what you are reporting - let me know if I am missing something:

Ok, I see I was vague. I meant wobbly windows when dragging. Sorry to confuse. Big difference I know.
The windows don't wobble for me in Curtains, but do in windowblinds.
Only Skype.
Sorry Sean.
Hello Jim, just tested on mine. Wobbly windows does work when dragging while in Curtains. Tested on Explorer, Curtains Config Windows, WindowsFX Config Windows and Skype too.
Thank you,

That's great Jaz. But it isn't working for me.
