At the bottom of discovered map:
Mouse over the stars, planets, ships, asteroids, starbases, resources, anomalies near Mulk system and near Iakesh system (also the coloniser), and near Neliana system, no tooltip displayed.
I also had this happen in a recent game.
As a work around, you can zoom in a bunch and the tooltip will display.
Thank you for your reply.It does not work in this case, no matter the zoom, there is never tooltip.
With the new FoW setting enabled, I see this, too.
The only way I know to overcome this is to have your ship (any ship) pass within its sensor range— then the tooltip will display. This works with anomalies, at least.

perversely, this sort of makes sense. The fog of war is cleared, so you can see there's something there, but until you get close enough, you're not sure what it is. Maybe a visual indication of this would be nice though. At least you'd know why you can't tell what it is.
