Thought I would re-visit now I'm working from home again, and it seems only a shadow of what it was:
DesktopX scrapped; many of the Gadgets just old and buggy; WindowBlinds Styles individually costly... I could go on
Compared with the versatility of what it used to be, I think Stardock should - at least - include ObjectDock & CursorFX in with the overall Object Desktop package because - as it is - it just really sucks compared to what it used to be.
A real shame as, I for one will nor be renewing my subscription when the time arrives
Hmmm...I'm not seeing that on your report, I'm not seeing any $4.34 Nets. But, since this is very off topic, if you could PM me with the info (Timeframe, Skin that was sold, etc.) I can look into it. I'm also not in accounting or the one who does anything with these, I just know how the calc system is set up, but I can track it down if there is indeed an issue.
My list is in alphabetical order KarmaGirl. You can look at any single purchase and it would have those amounts, but the one I am referencing is a sale of my skin titled 51, the 2nd one on the list.

You are correct Yrgal, I acted badly, I'll admit that, with that said, I'm still taking some time off from skinning, I'll put out a skin once in a while, but not as many as I'm use to doing, once things are better, I'll do more, but for now I'm gonna take care of business, and wish you all well, again, I'm sorry.

I guess I don't understand where you got the $4.34 Net from? The report looks correct. All deductions are made off Gross, then the % is calculated. If the 20% was off just your portion, the total would calculate as follows: $6.95 (Gross) - $.64 (COB)= $6.31, then 70% of $6.31 is $4.42. If you then minus the 20% ($1.39) would total $3.03. The profit share is off NET, though, so all deductions are made before the Royalty is calculated. $3.44 is 70% of the NET sale of $4.92. In other words, $.98, not $1.39 of the discount is coming out of your share of profits, and the other $.41 comes out of Stardock's 30% share, if that makes sense.If I'm misunderstanding what you are saying or I'm missing something, please send me a PM so that we don't take this thread too off topic.
I don't know where I got the $4.34 net from either, must have been a typo, should have been $4.92. But if you look at the image I sent, it is quite obvious how the calculations are done. I won't pursue this further.

Honestly guys! I may be out of turn but, I see no need to justify each others position. All the master skinners have a real good craft. They have this from countless work and imagination to create. That is what skinning is right? Some will pay for a skin and some won't. I feel like its kinda like talking into the wind. all you hear is yourself. I have spoke my peace and i am done. Keep the skins rolling. Otherwise we will not have a community.
The change/loss of applications is due to Microsoft screwing them up, not Stardock. Also, you just joined the site to bitch about it and the software and skins availability and the fact that a few people make Master Skins? There are only a few people even doing Master Skins now, maybe 4 total, and you just made one of them quit, a person that definitely needed a little extra income. Yes, I sell Master Skins too, but as many people know I give away a lot of my income to help the less fortunate, the poor. Hell, I just gave away $1,000 yesterday, about $3,500 this month! A poor friend in Florida, a poor family of 5 in a town about 14 miles from me that I have been helping for years, my disabled friend up in Michigan too! So do me a big favor, either stop making posts like this! You want free Windowblinds skins, make your own, there are less than 10 people making them here on the site.Oh, and just so you know, Stardock keeps about 43% of all Master Skin sales, so Master Skinners really don't make crap in the long run.I really feel bad about having to make this post to you Cybrnite, but people really need to stop making posts like this. I simply expressed an opinion that Stardock isn't what it used to be after years away; I've already made the point that I have NOTHING against skinners charging for their work and I genuinely respect what they do. Back in the day I contributed to 'Tiggz' as he - IMO- was one of the best skinners around and discussed the opportunity of him doing some bespoke corporate stuff for me; so don't spill all your anxiety and stress over me just because I express an honest opinion about the current state of Stardock - You seriously need to 'get a life'

Stardock charges for their software, which I don't have an issue with - I just don't think it offers the same value as it once did - period. Just an opinion! But as someone told me years ago: Opinions are like buttocks - everyone has them, but not always wise to air them in public, and this is certainly the last time I will air one on this forum.
