A couple of issues arose after installing the latest DeskScapes 10. I am running Windows 7 Professional and have always had absolutely zero problems with Object Desktop apps up until now.
First issue: All of my desktop icons disappeared. They would momentarily flash when I moused over their location(s), but I found nothing that would make them visible again (Desktop>View>Show desktop icons has always been checked). After some restarts over the course of a week or so, all of a sudden they reappeared. I still have no idea what happened or what to do if they disappear again.
Second (continuing) issue: The cursor reverts to the standard little white Windows arrow when on the actual body of the desktop - and only then. On top of every application, as well as on top of the skinned taskbar (the only "non-DeskScapes" part of the desktop), the cursor is my chosen CursorFX cursor. This never happened prior to updating to DeskScapes 10, and the only other files I have installed/updated since then have been AV and Malwarebytes definition files. There is no problem with the cursor functionality, but the aesthetics of that white arrow on my beautiful DeskScapes is visually jarring and I would love to learn how to fix it.
Hello,
I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations.
Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.
We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Many thanks AzDude - especially since it is one of your beeeeyoootifulll DeskScapes (Vintage Oil Scape 4) that is currently the victim of The White Arrow!
Hmmm... Just installed the latest WindowBlinds update (from the update notification that pops up) and now the correct CursorFX cursor is working on top of DeskScapes, but all of my desktop icons have disappeared again...
I was testing my Windows 7 on your issue. But I did not see any problem on my system with regard to CursorFX and Deskscapes. Mike's Vintage Oil Scape 4 and 77 White arrow run perfectly on my system. May I know what version of WB you upgrading to?
Thank you,
Basj,

As of today, the desktop icons are still invisible. They are custom icons I made that look like they are part of the wallpaper/dream, and the only reason I can access their content is that I know what and where they are. Nothing new there, it's something I do with certain desktops when "regular/visible" icons just don't fit in appearance-wise; other people look at my computer and simply think they're looking at a screensaver, not an actual desktop with content.
Would like to know :
1) How do you change those desktop icons : Any icon manager installed? Such as Icon Packager or any other. Or did you manually change it.
2) Any other GUI enhancement program running at the back ground such as WindowFX, Fences, ObjectDock, etc.. ?
I make the icons with Icon Developer and then change them on the desktop individually in one of two ways... For the standard Windows system icons, I only keep the Recycle Bin icons on the desktop (for easy access) and I change those via right-click Desktop > Personalize > Change desktop icons. For the others, I usually make a folder that multiple icons/shortcuts will go into, then change that folder's icon via right-click on the icon > Properties > Customize > Change icon.
Not running the other GUI enhancement programs than those already mentioned at the moment. The whole idea with the custom icons for this and some other Dreams is to use only images that appear to be part of the original background/painting so a casual viewer doesn't see anything but the Dream.
Just a quick, mysterious update. Have not installed any new software nor updated any since my last post. But now - POOF! - the desktop icons have reappeared, and have been stable for a couple of days now. <Twilight Zone music plays in background>
Thanks for using my Hardwood. But I would suggest that you update to the latest version of WindowBlinds which is 10.8.
Somewhere along the way I must have done so and not remembered, as WB says it is version 10.8 now.
