So Chrome had a flag called:
chrome://flags/#windows10-custom-titlebar
Which you could disable Chrome's Windows10-custom-titlebar but now the option is not there anymore and WindowsBlind does not skin Chrome anymore? Any idea how to make Chrome skinnable again?
I'm glad I'm not the only one, having this issue, I thought I was loosing my mind, not sure if it's an update thing with Chrome or what, but I went through that long list (/flags) and could not find #windows10-custom-titlebar, anywhere.
(FIX)
Looks like while Chrome has removed the #flag, there is still a way to enable it so that Chrome can be skinned again with Windows10Blind.
Here is how you can fix the problem:
Step#1 - Create a Shortcut to Chrome.
Step#2 - Right Click the Chrome Shortcut.
Step#3 - Under the shortcut tab, where you see "Target", be sure to add this line at the end:
-disable-features=Windows10CustomTitlebar
Because my Chrome installation is located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
The "Target" section for me looks like this after the edit:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -disable-features=Windows10CustomTitlebar
TADA!!! I DID IT!!!
The Results of my Chrome is now skinnable again! However, it will only open up skinned if you open this shortcut only.
Feels good to finally contribute to my fellow users! 😉
Not working for me, typed everything you said to, and nothing, unless I missed something.
Don, I copy/pasted his line directly into a shortcut and it did work for me (on Win10).
As he said though, it does only work for the specific shortcut you've edited, so if you have any shortcuts that go to websites directly it has no effect for them (they open Chrome without the switch).
I dunno, I'm probably only slightly less tired of chasing Chrome's Attention Deficit Disorder than Stardock is. I've set my Win10 "default app mode" to "Dark" and moved on. Maybe someday I'll get bored and fish out a Chrome theme from Chrome that still works, but until then, "meh".
Thanks for the tip though Azima, tips are always nice.
It's ok Dave, I'm trying out the "Developer" version of Microsoft Edge, it's Chromium based, and so far, I'm liking it.
Question#1 - Is your Chrome located here?
Question#2 - Did you add:
at the end in the target section of your chrome shortcut?
It should look like this:
Question#3 - Did you open the chrome shortcut which you edited?
Please let us know. 😊
Nailed it, I now have the title bar in Chrome (on Win 10) skinned.
Works for me too. Thanks Azima
Yay! Glad it's working for everyone so far!
😃
Worked for me, thank you so much. Now I just need to get over my unreasonable hatred of desktop shortcuts..
I just wished it would work on Win 8.1.

Not sure if you're agreeing with me, or MOCKING me....
I don't mock. More like I'm sad I wasn't able to help you. Sorry for the confusion. 😵
LOL, I wish it could work on 8.1, as I use it 99.9% of the time, I use 10, and 7 as test OSs for my skinning, but it is, what it is.
I'm going this route: https://www.themebeta.com/chrome-theme-creator-online.html
You can more or less get the colors to match the WB skin you are using which is basically all I want. This one is Cascade by Z71. If you opt to join it's easy enough to save what you made to apply on different skins.
Mee too. Is there any solution for Windows 8.1?
I don't have Windows 8.1 anymore so I can't test and find a solution.
I have the same problem, and it was fixed with the shortcut earlier in the month. but sense then chrome updated and the shortcut fix doesn't work now
That happened to me once but after closing Chrome and reopening it the browser was skinned. Try it
On my old under powered rig, using the fix works until you resize or move the window around then the area of the browser that skins goes completely blank. I give up. I am just either using Chrome Themes or that Chrome skinning site.
As Chuck berry sang: "Too much monkey business for me to be involved in"
hmmmm....
Okay so if anyone is still having trouble doing this on Windows10 then please contact me on Discord and I'll do my best to show you what to do to fix this through voice chat. Keep in mind I can only walk you through if you're using Windows10 and if it's to skin Google Chrome because that is what I am using.

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT work for Stardock. I just want to figure out why this isn't working for some people and to see if I can fix it myself.
