Maybe I'm missing something, I cannot group my Chrome browser windows using Groupy. Does Groupy support Chrome? Is there any special setting I have to set to make this work?
Hi Basj. Just wondering if you have an update on the above?
Hello,Sorry I must have miss your reply before. Looking at your pasted text. That is not from a group that have chrome in it, yes? Its just listed 3 explorer tab and 1 excel tab. Can not see the chrome tab in there.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
HI Basj,
You are correct. That is because I cannot get Chrome to dock, so to speak.
i.e., I cannot dray/drop a chrome tab to a group.
Is there a work around?
You should mentioned that first. How do you group your Chrome?
You will need to click and drag the "title bar" while grouping it with other Windows. Don't click and drag the "Chrome tab", this will not work. If you have multiple tabs on your chrome browser, and you wish to group only one of those chrome tab with, for example, Explorer windows. First, You need to click and drag that chrome tab away from the main Chrome windows. Release. This will than create one Chrome windows with one tab on it. Click the titlebar of that Chrome Windows to the Explorer Windows to group it. Release when the tab notification appear.
Try this steps and report back.
Thank you,

Hi Basj,
Apologies for the confusion. I thought everyone on this thread was having a similar problem grouping chrome.
I have tried clicking and dragging from the TITLE bar onto the + sign in the group, but it will not group.
Please review video below and see if you can follow it and group it on your system. If you still fail to group please post a video to show us how you group your Chrome.
Hi Basj - I followed the instructions. Still not working. Here is a video - https://drive.google.com/file/d/18oqSY-f_A81KGyKB4g6AEVASBsn35b2Q/view?usp=drivesdk
Not sure why your Windows turn to transparent with gray box while dragging. If you check my video the Drag windows still show up while moving. Is there something running in the background doing that? Also try this. Try drag Explorer on top of Chrome, does that work?
If you use the option to disable full window dragging in Windows then you cannot drag windows together with Groupy.
Full window dragging has been the default on Windows since about Windows 98 and disabling it stops the intermediate move messages that Groupy needs.
I believe Neil is referring to this system setting. Check and make sure that is turn on.
@Neil - you are a star!. That did the trick!! I can now dock chrome windows in a group. Thank you so much. @ Basj - thank you too for your help.
