The last few days Chrome has started complaining that it's incompatible with the following programs, mostly Stardock. Acronis is flagging Chrome as ransomware. Anyone else seeing this strange behavior?

Yes. I'm seeing Groupy in my Chrome Incompatible Apps as well.
But not the others? I wonder how a backup program can affect Chrome. I typed that app in the list as my copy and paste missed it. Even funnier that Acronis thinks Chrome is ransomware.
For me, yes, just Groupy. I also run Fences on that system, but it's not listed. On my home PC, I only have one program listed - I'll see your Acronis and raise you Dropbox. Go figure.
Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.
I use that version of Chrome 24/7 with no issues or warnings have all of those Stardock apps and more
you might be getting a False/Positive reading from Acronis .
We will let you know more if and when we find anything helpful.

Google have decided that if their app crashes (and it does), they blame anything third party on your system that's loaded dlls into their process. They have been complaining about AV packages, mouse drivers, video drivers, utility software etc.
They have no evidence they are causing issues (and most likely are not), but they are trying to shift blame.
In short, the message can be ignored, close the tab and you should be fine.
Long term they plan to block every third party dll loading which will mean Google Chrome will no longer be able to be grouped with Groupy or skinned with WB. Complaints regarding that would need to go to the devs at Google.
Personally I might consider changing to an internet browser that doesn't want to decide what applications you run on your own computer...
