It would be great to have those buttons available in the tab bar as well (see top right red rectangle in the screenshot). Minimize/maximize from the current explorer window can be used but it is less logical imho. A close button would make closing all tabs easier compared to using the 3dots menu.
Thank you
Hello,I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.
I agree. I would love to have this.
I agree - it's frustrating to use the menu to close all the tabs when it's normal for an app that uses multiple windows have a single close button. The same goes with minimise/maximise buttons, users would expect an app/window to have this functionality.

So I just found this when checking out something else. I love the idea of Groupy, Its a way better version of a custom program I built. However, the inability to minimize or maximize the group through a standard button is really annoying. I know I can double-click the bar or hit windows + down but this really windows design 101... include a way to maximize or minimize with the mouse.
You do know that there are still buttons for min, max/restore, close on the actual titlebar and clickable with a mouse. I would agree on argument to have another close button to quickly close the whole group.
I did just realize that hitting the minimize or maximize buttons applies to the whole group, but it wasn't something I thought to do before posting.
Discovery is a bit of the issue here. I think Groupy is amazing but it is requiring a bit of relearning. Minimizing the relearning would be a good thing. I didn't realize until reading this thread that double clicking Groupy's bar did the max/restore thing. Having the symbols there would make life a little easier.
And, although there are those complaining that the bars take up too much room as is, I actually need a divider. I need a dark like dividing the Groupy bar from the active window bar. Yes the colors are different but not distinct enough and I keep closing the wrong type of tab.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback, but there is an option in groupy to color your tabs to any colors you like. Its under Groupy setting ->Visual -> How should the tabs look? and Click on the "Colors" dropdown button. Try it and see if it help you see the tabs better.
Thank you,

Please add a minimize button for the whole group.
This would make Groupy a far better and far more usable app.
Thanks in advance
You do know that when you click the minimize button on the titlebar the whole group get minimize. No?
Thanks for your hint.
I did not recognize that I can use the minimize buttons of the apps inside the Groupy window.
Everything works fine now
Maybe I'm new to this but the only minimise button I can see is for the individual programs I have grouped, and when I click it that is what happens. Outlook gets minimised, or FileCenter gets minimised, or Edge gets minimised. Every other program in the group stays large. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Also, how do I turn the group off?
When you group an application. If the group is successful. It will come together with tabs and they have one set of "Minimize,restore/maximize,Close" Button. These button are shared. If you press the minimize or restore/maximize button everyone of application grouped together will get minimize or restore/maximize. But If you press close button. The Active application will close, leaving the rest of the group still open.
If this is not the case in your system. Something is wrong. Please try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling
Make sure to get the latest groupy version from your account. installed it. And please reboot after install.
Test it out. And report Back.
I Think its really work well and less annoying if confirmation box popup when clicking close button to close all tabs instead of closing one tab. I Know you can right click any tab and select close all in this group but this is time saving option

Clipper 87 on April 26 attached a photo and there is no minimise, maximise or close button on his pictured tab bar but you seem to be telling me that there is a group of these that should be on mine.
Has this changed since his post on April 26 because my top tab bar looks just like his. No minimise, maximise or close button on the top bar. The one on the next level down just controls what is open in Edge, not the other applications I have grouped.
No, there are no new buttons. But the same buttons control the whole group. I done a short video to show that when you press the minimize button the whole group minimize. And it also the same for the maximize button. Have a look.

You are right. The minimise button does minimise them all but the close button as you say, doesn't. Sorry.
The Close button was design not to close the whole group. If you need to close the whole group you will need to do it with two click, click on the 3 dot menu and click on "close all windows in this group". Just extra 1 click to ensure the user do not mistakenly close the whole group when he just want to close the active apps.
You are
You are completely right: when you group AN APPLICATION.
He is probably referring to several applications. When a group consists of 3 different applications, the minimize button only applies to the application that is active.
Therefor this is a defect (well, a not programmed feature I guess).
I made several requests for groups concerning different apps. It seems that you just test groupy on same apps. Please start testing groupy with different apps, your eyes might get opened!
Put a close-X next to the three dotted menu button and all is solved.
Make it optional, maybe even include a minimize button because that is a much better and more logical user experience? Here an example of a close all button:
