CursorFX is not working correctly with my Windows 10 desktop. No matter what icon theme I choose, even CursorFX Default, the Standard Select icon does not appear in front. If I select Windows Standard everything works perfectly.
If the window is transparent enough, I can see it behind. I am attaching two examples.
In the first, you can see the R/L stretch icon peek from behind the opaque Windows 10 menu. If I moved it to the left, I would see the tail of it as it turned back into the Standard Select, then it would disappear. I could still select items, but telling what is highlighted is not easy.
In the second, captured as the wireless networking menu was coming up, you can see the grayed out Standard Select icon behind the transparent window here, just to the left of the Recycle Bin icon. Once the menu fully comes up, it is more opaque, so hard to see the icon even behind the blank areas. If I moved it to the edge, as above, I would see the stretch icon peek out. If I moved it behind one of the selectable choices (like WiFi, Airplane mode, or Mobile Hotspot, the icon changes to a hand, which is also behind the context menu and nearly impossible to see.

I have noticed this with every other CursorFX theme I have tried and I have noticed it with other 3rd party applications, not just Windows desktop apps/menus.
I have a Radeon RX480 video card. I own other Stardock desktop apps, but none other than CursorFX are currently installed.
I hope someone in the community, or Stardock can provide a solution so CursorFX works.
Not sure if you already did it, but, did you try this solution : https://forums.stardock.com/488088/get;3747960 ?

I just formated my Windows a week ago and I was having the exact same problems said in this thread. I actually formatted my windows because your guy's "Auto Driver Update" corrupted my whole computer. This isn't the first "auto driver update" software to do this in the past either. I spent 2 days trying to get to back running and decided to just reinstall windows. It changed my C drive to unknown. I managed to use CMD to set it back to C, but it didn't work. Fortunately, I don't save important material on that drive, but I wasted a whole day 1/2 setting it all up again.
Going back to this issue, only the default cursor in CursorFX would work correctly and any other would-be behind important GUI things. For example, if I click my sound icon and tried to lower the sound, it would cause the cursor to be behind it, thus you had to guess where the mouse was to drag it down. I found this issue with many simple things.
I decided to read this thread and see if anyone found a solution. The noticeable difference was I had reinstalled everything to my F:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\CursorFx backup drive because it has 2 TB more than my C:\ boot up drive. I ran the "purge" again and put it at the default location and it worked again. Another minor issue is I'm running 4k resolution on my 17.3" Gaming Laptop and using 215% DPI. It looked insanely small, but I went to the application's properties (right-click)->compatability->and a checkbox in Use these settings to fix scaling problems and a checkbox in Override high DPI scaling behavior and set it to the system. It's annoying when I'm forced to change software because it can't scale dynamically.
Lastly, I still have issues with Windowblinds. Various applications aren't scaling correctly with the Min/Max/Close buttons. Especially, in my email application (Thunderbird). I have to guess where the X is and sometimes I maximize or minimize it trying to solve it. It's rather annoying and I've purchased a few of the themes as well. This is unfortunate because I just stopped using it eventually because it was more hassle than it was worth and it bothered me. This problem happened regardless of the theme I used.
I have all your guy's software and it just always feels buggy and unpredictable. It's unfortunate because it's very cool, but it's very buggy, janky and this simple problem of installing CursorFX to another drive and having problems is inexcusable in today's world. You obviously have some hardcoded information pointing to the wrong location.
PS: I removed the auto driver update software, it's simply unstable and I'm not lazy enough to risk doing this all again.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues.
If you mean, This-> https://www.stardock.com/products/driverupdater/ that all support need to come from Ashampoo since Stardock is only selling their product. , please use : https://www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/sup
Not really sure what is going on in your system. But on mine system CursorFX scale properly from 100% to my 225%
here a sample.
at 100%
at 225%
Note : But, I do see the scaling issue if I actually set my scaling to 215%. And, I have forwarded your problems to the Stardock Support team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate you feedback and patience.
It is known that some software is not compatible with Windowblinds. And for me thunderbird is one of them. I just need to list thunderbird as one of program that Windowblinds ignore and don't skin it.

I just did a Google search for this issue and thought I might just add in here instead of starting a new thread.
Just got CursorFx via Humble Bundle. And of course, the cursor is behind the start menu. I use triple monitors, WIndows 10 1909, fully updated, and all drivers kept fully updated.
In my search, I found a lot of folks complaining about this since about 2015... Obviously, not all of them here on this forum.
Has anyone found a workaround that actually works?
Just to explain why this is so important, I don't use desktop icons. I use the taskbar and the start menu (default Windows start menu), so this is a pretty huge issue and apparently been going on quite a while. I wonder if other cursor replacer software has the same issue, or it this is exclusive to CursorFx?
Any hope for a fix any time in the near future?
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. There are CursorFX 4.0 beta announce recently here :https://forums.stardock.com/498875
If you have Active ObjectDesktop subscription, you can test issues you mentioned above right now. There were few other issues mentioned in that thread, which Stardock's Dev team is currently working to solve. Hopefully we can get a fully working version very soon.
