I noted 2 bugs with Groupy 1.02 when using with Excel 2013
1. Sometimes when I have several Excel files grouped in tabs, when I'm typing into a cell, suddenly what I'm typing is not being entered into the foreground file but I realise moments later it was typed into a background file. This shift of focus happens randomly without any apparent pattern. It's dangerous because I could be overwriting content in another file since it's not visible to the user. Not sure if you can understand what I'm describing...?
2. When opening an Excel file attachment from an email, it will normally launch in Protected View. Now assuming I have several Excel files grouped together including one in Protected View. Now, when I click on "Enable Editing" to disable protected view, the result is an empty window for that particular file. I have a taken a video of this issue which I can send to Stardock if I can have the email address.
Acrobat sandboxing prevented reliable grouping so it had to be excluded.
Had the same Excel jumping problem in Excel 2016 on 1.02, just installed 1.10 ... and fingers crossed it hasn't had a problem in 10 mins.
Almost exclusively occurred with big Excel files, but as you say was somewhat random when it occurred (usually when I trusted it enough to stop watching
Hi basj
Were you referring to v1.10 which was just released as final non-beta?
It still has the same problem with Excel protected view. Don't know yet about the focus jumping problem.
But it introduces a new bug with Powerpoint files in protected view. Error message upon opening:
Have to use Task Manager to close Powerpoint.

The latest should be 1.11
I only see v1.10 in my download list, when will v1.11 be available?
Hello,
Did you check what the version installed in Groupy itself? (3 dot menu -> setting -> Groupy->About). If it still version 1.10 please turn on Automatically check for updates. Try that and let us know.
It's on (also tried turning it off and back), it's never worked for me ("No updates for Groupy have been found"), I have had to always download it from my account
So did you get it? From your account? v1.11?
At this very moment I only have 1.10 showing:
Please post what it say on your Groupy itself?
You really need to ask?
I asked cause sometimes. The one on the groupy is different than the one listed on the ODM
I believe 1.11 is internal only right now.
Ok, thanks for that and good to know. So how can I get V1.11?
Groupy 1.1 is totally unusable with Powerpoint in protected mode ... until v1.11 is available I have no choice but to revert to v1.02.
Unfortunately in testing we were unable to reproduce any issues with Powerpoint in protected mode. As such 1.11 is liable to remain an issue for you.
That's strange that you can't reproduce the issue. I have the exact same error message on 2 different PCs, one running Windows 8.1 and the other Windows 10, when I open a Powerpoint file that is attached to an email in Outlook or from a network shared folder.
Any other users encountering this problem?
Thank you for your report. We will be looking into it.
I have Excel from Office365.
Groupy does not work well at all with Excel. Using Shift+Drag to form groups is fine.
But using the + button to add another excel file does not work.
Please do sort this out.

Well it work well on my system.
Did you set Excel to auto group? Please view below video. https://youtu.be/YHCs5lDqnFs
Are we to understand that your only issue with how it works is this - the 'psychedelic resizing'?
Thanks that works partly.
Two points.
1. In the video, File>Open from an existing workbook opens the new excel and adds to group. This works the same way for me now.
However, in the video, using the + sign opens a new tab in the File>Open view. For me it opens with a blank workbook. So, to open the desired workbook by using +, there is now another step required, of going to the new blank workbook and then File>Open
2. The "psychedelic resizing" has a pattern. If the Group window is in window (non maximised) mode when a new tab is opened, there is no problem and the opening is smooth.
But if it is maximised when a new window is opened, each window first opens in the window mode and then resizes to maximum. That causes the sequence of resizings that I was referring to.
Are these bugs or am I missing something?
Not at all. Please see points 1 and 2 of my post.
Though the resizing is a problem by itself. There is a pattern though; refer my point 2 in the above post.
By default, MS Office apps have protected view(s) on from anything that comes from 'the Internet'.
With my test below, I could not reproduce what you are seeing

If I do not have the conditions correct, what you have, I need to know what I am missing.
Here what happening in my system.
Start Excel. you will get list of recent open file list. If you click any from the list that file will open.
if you want to open a new file, you can simply file -> open a file then a new tab open to the left of your last open files. both file are in group.
As long as you have that 3 dot menu set to automatically group excel.
