So what are your feelings about latest iPhone?
Personally, i would indeed like to have it, it looks mighty fine. Would take it over iPhone 8 for sure, which now looks pretty obsolete. That price though - 1200 EUROs over here... i still use iPhone 5S, which i bought 3 years ago and it cost me 830 EUROs. Already that was expensive...now 3 years later, another 400 more? Where does this end?
Not only is that very true Ross, but the main problem is actually known as "Made in China".
Yeah, and it's wrong on so many levels. I could go on but the main issue for me is the poor wages and conditions of Apple's Chinese workers just so's Apple can increase its profit margins... on what can now be called inferior products compared to those Apple produced 10 or more years ago. Oh, and this is Apple's own fault, not of the workers. Given the lousy workplace and pay, Apple provides NO incentive for them to strive to do better or want to excel.
The fact that Apples tries to justify charging exorbitant prices on these lesser products is sickening when its workers and their families are forced to exist on sub-standard pay to keep Apple rich and getting richer. There is a place the sun don't shine, and Apple can shove its products there as far as I'm concerned.

Yep, exactly what I think too starkers!
I never could figure out why Apple products are so expensive. For the price of a decent Macbook I could build me a complete system, almost. As for their phones, nope, not gonna go there. I once read something about the new iPhone costing around a thousand bucks. I can think of better things to do with a thousand bucks.
Once simple five letter word sums it up: GREED.
No almost about it. For the price of a Macbook you absolutely COULD build a really decent system with rather decent specs.
Though myself is Apple fan (Macbook, iPhone 6S, iPod Touch 4 Gen), the price for iPhone X is ridiculous. I won't get one at that price. However, Move to iOS app makes extremely easily transferring data from other phone to iPhone when you purchase a new device.
Honestly can't say that I will ever go back to Apple phones. I just don't think the iPhone X is worth the money they're asking for it...
I'm going to look at it in person before I decide. Might wait for the bigger version.
As long as my 5SE works, sticking with it.
My 10 - 11 year old Nokia Lumia 820 Windows 8 Phone still works and will probably do me for another 10 years. It is in as new condition and has never been dropped, so will last unless we have a major network change that renders it obsolete.
I also have a cheap no-name Android phone, primarily to do phone/internet banking due to the Windows phone not having a specific app for my particular bank. However, my preference is still the Windows phone for everything else... calls, texts, etc.
Oh yeah, another reason I love my Nokia Lumia is that I can use and have a 256gb memory card in it, despite the limit supposedly being 32gb. Yup, tell me when Apple can match that. In fact, tell me when iPhones can even use a memory card.
I like my phone.
Think I'll be sticking with my 6S (non plus) over either the X or the 8.
Probably sticking with iOS10 for the forseeable future as well. Don't really need the slow down I'm sure it'll have for (IMO, crappy) features I don't want. Add to that the new "feature" of the bluetooth and wifi buttons in the control center not actually turning off those radios, and for now, I'll pass. They could easily make those radio on/off toggles a hard press to actually turn off in control center, it'd go a long way to changing my mind. Turning those on/off to save battery life is a feature I use often.
I'm using iPhone 6 and thinking to switch to iPhone 7 Plus, I don't like the fragile glass cover of iPhone X or 8. Also iPhone X is too expensive.
The high price of the iPhone x is why most people refuse to buy iPhone x , me too , i just changed my old Android to iPhone (iPhone 7) , i don't want to spend so much memory on a phone , next year, the iPhone x will be replaced by another new phone ,
What isn't made in China anymore, just saying....
My iPhone 8Plus has 256gb, so why would I need a card? LOL
Uh!!! Let's see. 256gb isn't that much these days. Not every iPhone user has that much space. You can't remove it and add a fresh card, meaning you have to wipe old data to add new. I have a Nokia Lumia 800 Win 8 phone and I can replace memory cards whenever to change my phone's music library without ever having to wipe files. There may be other reasons, but that's plenty advantage enough for me.
Perhaps this is the gap between rich and common peopleļ¼the rich don't care about the price of iPhone ,
I don't have a need to wipe my data, and if I do, I just back it all up in the cloud, then delete what I want, without starting over, I've found that 256gb is sufficient for me, just saying.
I still have my Nokia Lumia 920 (great phone), for backup, but prefer my iPhone. It's nice to have choices, I believe they're (Brands) all good phones and cater to what individuals want, I have no reason to say one phone is better that the other, they're all good phones for the right person, if the smartphone (whatever Brand) makes a person happy then that's great.
My Galaxy 2 almost bricked itself due to lack of storage....eventually logs will fill the entire critter and they are not those that relate to 'call logs' that are easily removed.
Googling fixed it....had to dial in...#9900# and check 'option 2' ....and all was good.
Will now last me many years to come...still...
I'm doing my little bit for e-waste ....
Fair enough! If 256Gb is all you need then that's fine. However, I'm not a fan of the 'cloud' and prefer to keep all my data locally on drives, etc. But that's just me. I know plenty of people who use the cloud without issues, but I'm not so confident [or lucky] as they are.
Knowing my luck, I put my stuff on the cloud one day, and next day the cloud floats off into space, never to be seen again.
I preferred the 820 Lumia to the 920 because it could be upped to add more memory, but I didn't ever like iPhones or Android. The day I bought my Lumia 820 I looked at several other phones and liked it best. Neither the iPhone or Androids impressed me, so I looked at Windows phones and chose the Lumia 820 because I liked everything about it. Okay, so Windows phone don't have as many apps, but I generally use my phone for calls and texts only, and if I need an app there is pretty much all I need in the Windows Store.
I do have a no-name Android phone that I use for online banking when I'm out.... the Windows phone does not have an app for my particular bank. I don't mind the Android phone I have, and it does what I need it to, but give me my Nokia Lumia 820 any day.
Yes, I know the feeling about the cloud, that's why I use pc backup as well, for in iTunes you're given an option of the cloud, or pc, I choose both, but mainly do my backups on the pc.
I have the choice of cloud backup with my Android phone, but I never have much on it and don't see a need. I could do the same with my Windows phone, but I have several 256/512Gb memory cards that work well with it and everything is stored on those/backed up on my PC.... twice.
That's another thing I didn't like about Android phones... the inability to read memory cards above 64Gb or 128Gb... depending on the model and make. My Android will only take a 64Gb card, Shaunna's will take a 128Gb.... then there's my sister's Android, which will only read 32Gb.
My Nokia Lumia 820 is supposed to only take 32Gb, according to the specs, but I first tried a 64Gb, then a 128Gb right up to 512Gb, and they all work. That's why I carry a little metal case that hold up to 24 memory cards, so I can swap them in and out as required. Yeah, I have a man-bag to carry my phones and accessories, my tablets; bluetooth portable speaker; USB card reader, leads and various other accessories. I like to go out prepared, especially if I'm in for a long wait at the doctors.... where there's free Wi-Fi.
i like my X
I have the iPhone 6S 64gig with over 800 songs and 113 apps and I'm only using 23gigs. I had the option to get the 128 or 256 but I thought why pay extra for wasted space. I've had this phone since the day the 6S came out with every update, it does the same thing that the X does.
