A couple of bugs were introduced with yesterday's update. When I invade a planet and don't conquer it right away, the tooltip shows the planet's population to be whatever it was before I dropped the transport on it PLUS my load of troops. So if it had 53 billion population and my transport had 3, tooltip shows 56. My next troop drop does show a negative population though, so the problem seems to be just tooltip math not being done.
I've been complaining about the ship list for years and it's never been fixed properly. Only 2 of my 40 active fleets show up on my 194 fleet ship list. I have to quarter through each section manually and hope I don't miss any moves. There are only 2 civs left on the immense galaxy, plus 1 minor race. My foe stared off at genius level and seems to have thousands of ships. My list shows 194 fleets, most of them being on planets, added by the 3-ship ideology completion, and only 3 of my active fleets moving to attack positions. This needs to be fixed. Plus the usual bug that's been around from the beginning where it randomly changes your fleet list every time you eject a ship or make a fleet or use up a transport.
I am not using the latest spy add-on and maybe it's time to fix the old bugs before updating to new ones.
The random resort is an annoying inconvenience with a small beginning fleets as well.
Yeah i hate that everytime i colonize a planet, or build a starbase that gets annoying especially if you do any a turn.
I think this was a song by Pieter, Paulsky and Maria, some time ago:
"Where have all my starships gone, one update ago?
Where have all my starships gone, one update ago?
Where have all my starships gone?
Gone to limbo, every one.
When will I ever learn?
When will I ever learn?"
This is very annoying, to have only half your ships showing in the list. You wind up missing some moves,
especially in an immense galaxy, with an enemy starting off at genius level, who seemed to have every tech in the book before
you even have a translator and who has built thousands of ships and is throwing them all into your zone of control.
With all that busyness going on, it's easy to miss single ships and have them get hammered by enemy fleets.
If there is a limit to the number of ships available in the list, it needs to be upgraded by another 5000 or so.
Why not add an option to toggle the display of fleets docked at planets, just to decrease information overload?
You barely ever move those little guardian fleets and they slow the game down if you have to scroll through every one of them.
I just wanted to echo everyone here. It's Dec 2019, and it still hasn't been fixed yet; ships are still missing from the ship list. I understand that ships that are in a fleet or in an orbit around a planet don't show up separately in the list, but even some standalone ships that aren't orbiting a planet are missing from the ship list. How else are we supposed to track them down? What's the point of having these huge maps if we can't handle a medium-sized fleet of ships?
I decided not to buy the retribution add-on precisely for Stardock not fixing this sort of glaring bugs.
