Longtime Fences user here, but first time serious frustration. I'm using 3.04 on Win7 64.
In Windows you can set a certain view for a folder and all its subfolders. If I set a folder layout inside a Windows folder it doesn't reflect it in the Fences portal view. Alternately, if I set the folder layout "directly" inside the portal, it doesn't show the results in the subfolders. "If I ctrl+mouse wheel" to enlarge the icons manually inside each folder and its subfolder, when I go back out/in the changes don't stick.
How can I set a parent folder's layout in Windows or its Fence portal and have it show the same for all it's subfolders, while not reversing when I go back and forth between folder levels?
New here. Is there a way to delete posts. Other forums have this feature and it is "very simple" to find/use.
Also, If you have an issue with the forum account/profile who/where do you go? Is the forum account/profile considered the same, infowise, as the account used to purchase?
Subfolder view states are not inherited from the parent but can be changed and will retain that setting.
Reflecting the Windows File Explorer view would be an interesting option and I'll take ti to the dev team
And? What happened with this?
Yes I would like to ask the same question. In my case I want to have the same view in all folders (parent folder and subfolders). They should be viewed as lists.
I understand I could change the view manually for each folder and this change would be maintained. But to make changes manually for hundreds of folders and subfolders - that sounds not good to me.
It's now April 2024 and this suggestion has still not been incorporated into Version 5, even though so many users are requesting this.
Yes, there are requests on this one. But, so far nothing new on this one.
