I have had an Object Desktop subscription for a few years, and Icon Packager has always performed flawlessly on my PC. However, I just did a CLEAN install of the new Windows 10 Creators Update and Icon Packager started causing some major hang-ups with my system. Items pinned to Taskbar started vanishing, Start Button stopped working, Settings --> Apps endlessly spun, when I could get Start to open [did several reboots] the Tiles would not work. Stuff of that nature. I uninstalled Icon Packager and everything is back to normal.
Scared to reinstall!!
Fences & Blinds are about all I use now. And Space Monger ... [which, btw, Object Desktop STILL refuses to acknowledge is already installed].
In addition, I noticed that on the left, in File Explorer, "Documents" was listed X2 - 1st, being in truth the Desktop, had the Desktop icon - but was labelled as "Documents", 2nd, being in truth Documents, was correct.
I was early on in my re-doing of my system, so I did yet another clean install of Windows 10. Have not yet installed Stardock software, other than Fences.
Anyone else see this issue with Icon Packager?
Keeps crashing here, always when I use recolor options, not loading all icons of some packages while packages does show there is ocon for it. like folders, if not crashes recolouring does not work.
Also, if some icon packages are working as expected and some are not can you give an example of each?
Which version of IconPackager were you installing?
Version 10.0.2 as provided by Object Manager.
Hi, i have the same install of icon packager in win 10 and after a fresh install it will not load- just flashes for a second...I have uninstalled firewalls, turned them on and off, reinstalled IP with restarts etc.. any ideas?

I finally did supply Support with an account of my issue --- which has been reproduced in 3 separate CLEAN installs of Windows 10 Creators Update. I was disappointed to receive a stock reply listing all of Stardock's customization software indicating whether or not each was Windows 10 compatible. IconPackager was marked "Yes." 24 hours later, case was closed.
I guess I am not very important as a customer.
What is the case ID please?

Well, I got support to acknowledge me, but I was told it was unreproducible. I figured I'd just give up. The issue was very real on my system. I did 3 successive clean installs of Windows 10 Creators Update. No, Stardock software was NOT the first item I installed, but it was pretty close the first 2 go rounds. I think I installed Microsoft Office 365 first, then maybe Norton Internet Security ... then Stardock. Icon Packager knocked my Windows Live Tiles, taskbar icons, and start button all out-of-whack. I tried uninstalling, turning off NIS, etc.
Anyway, on a whim - and this is with ALL of my software installed and running smoothly - I decided on one last try. I made a restore point and then booted into Safe Mode. Installed Icon Packager. Restarted.
Guess what?!? Everything works perfectly!!!
