Hey I wanted to list a few issues CursorFX has when using the new Windows10 Creator's Update.
* Microsoft Edge Browser does Not respond when you click or mouse scrolling
* Netflix App does not respond to any clicks or mouse scrolling
* GetHelp App does not respond to any Clicks or mouse Scrolling
* TileCreator App does not respond to any clicks or mouse scrolling
* Kindle App does not respond to any Clicks or mouse Scrolling
* When you are searching for an app on the Start Menu, for example: You type netflix on the start menu, your clicks will not respond when it shows up in the search results and you cannot right click anything in the search results in the Start Menu.
I have tested this with CursorFX disabled and I can confirm everything works above however the issue only occurs when CursorFX is active which is a damn shame cause I love CursorFX!
I hope Stardock can fix this issue soon cause I would hate to use my PC without this wonderful app.
Those were my findings as well.
I'm having the same problems.
Using Windows 10 Creators Update, Version 1703, Build 15063.138 (latest cumulative update)When CursorFX is on, mouse scrolling and clicking does not work correctly in several apps and scenarios, including problems using Edge and Cortana.
What's interesting is that I've found:- I can use "Ctrl+Shift+C" to temporarily disable CursorFX to get the broken things to temporarily work, then use the same keyboard combo to turn it back on- Windows 10 Insider Fast Ring Build 16176 appears to not have any of the problems.- Feedback Hub item, which you should UpVote and add comments to, is located here: https://aka.ms/Hqyi31
Thus, it seems likely, to me, that Microsoft must fix this issue. I hope we can get that fix in the form of a Cumulative Update for Creator's Update Build 15063!Microsoft?
Also, it'd be great if we could get a Stardock CursorFX developer to chime in on this thread, with their thoughts.Stardock?
Regards,Jacob KleinWindows 10 Insider (I triple boot between Release/Slow/Fast, but didn't spot this problem, because my wife uses CursorFX and I don't)
Hallo

This is resolved by Microsoft in Windows 10 build 16184.1001
It was actually fixed in an earlier Fast Ring build. As I said in my prior post:"Build 16176 appears to not have any of the problems."
I'm having very similar problems as described above in win 8.1. Never had one issue in win 7.
In order to download anything here at WC I have to disable cursorFX first.
I trouble shot this in Windows itself. Windows said that a high DPI setting has been applied. I went to WC and was able to download stuff that I couldn't before. So far the issue seems to be resolved.
Time will tell.
I am also having issues with cursorFX in Edge, you can close or open tabs but as soon as you try to click anywhere on the page it starts blinking and doesn't work. As soon as you go back to the windows default cursor the problem stops.
I am using Windows 10 Creators edition and CursorFX 2.16, I have also downloaded the previous version and it also has the same issues.
Kind of upset since I have been using CursorFX for years and the default cursor is just so blah!
Guess I'll have to wait for Windows 10 Redstone?
I said the problem went away and it hasn't completely. The frustrating thing is it seems to come and go. Here's something else: When I hit ctrl-alt-del but not close the hung up task but click on what wasn't working it works! Seems like having task manager open makes a difference.
As I said before cursor fx was flawless in win 7. It would seem as if after that there are problems in 8.1 and 10.
I cannot use the default cursor. I have been spoiled.
I wish this issue can be resolved.
My Windows says it's up-to-date but it's not running Build 16176..
My current build is 15063
How did you get the 16176 build? I need it so I can use my CursorFX on all my apps.
If you are part of the fast ring crowd who get the latest 'beta' beta then you'll have that version. Those on the slow ring wait awhile before they get it and the ones who are using the RTM 'beta' have to grin and bear it.
Jeez, it's almost like people don't read my post! I spelled it out pretty clearly, honestly. Try reading it more slowly.
I upgraded to Win 10 and all the Stardock stuff works fine except for cursorFX. I have the latest version 2.16.
I wonder why it's not working properly? What happens is there are random freeze ups which force me to use ctrl-alt-del. I can cancel and that seems to unfreeze it but that's certainly not how it's supposed to work. Putting it to the default windows cursor also works.
Having used cursorFX for years with win 7 and having no problems at all makes this very frustrating.
Are there others having this same problem?
Is there anything being done to correct this?
So to sum it upLatest win10 creators need to wait for a Microsoft update for this to be fixed?Kind of annoying :/
I am always on the fast ring of windows. and of course the cursorfx does not remain on top. it disappears when clicking the notification button. I guess its a an issue to be resolved.
I'm glad it's not just me having trouble with CursorFX. I'm running version 1703, OS build 15063. When I bring up the CursorFX Control Panel, it becomes unresponsive and I have to close it with the Task Manager. If I immediately open the Control Panel again, everything is fine and I can select another cursor without any issue.
CursorFX is now working correctly in Cortana, on the Release build. It may have been today's Windows 10 Update that fixed it, I'm not sure.OS Version 1703 Build 15063.502 (KB4032188)https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4032188
This remark looks particularly ... juicy/related:
Kind regards,Jacob Klein
Thanks for the update.
You're welcome.
PS: I don't think "Email me when someone replies" is working right
Replying.
I am experiencing the same issue: I downloaded this tool: http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/apps/Purge_CursorFX.bat and reinstall at no avail.
This is my windows 10 winver is: Windows 10 1803 (os Build 17134.376)
