Now that Microsoft is nearing the final release of the Creators Update (RS2), where do we stand with a Fences update? The crashing bug seems to be gone from earlier builds, but Folder Portals still do not work correctly:
- The folder view always defaults to Medium Icons and they are all squished together. There's no padding/spacing between them.
- Switching to a list or detail view works, but this setting doesn't persist after reboot. It goes back to the broken Medium Icons view.
Same issue here. Actually only have it on my hpx360 with quad hd display. Other computers running same creators build seem fine. Hope they fix it soon
Maybe it only impacts high DPI displays?
Same problem with 3 computers running Windows 10 Pro x64 b15063.11 with Fences 2.13 and 3.03
Can change Portal view to "details" but not remembered on reboot.
Really like the v3 feature of being able to navigate within the Portal without the file manager opening but that also reverts to icon view.
It would also me nice if Portal would remember when columns have been re-arranged, I prefer Name + Size + Date order, but that's never worked.
Looks like Fences needs a small tweak.
Same problem here.

PS.: Stardock Ticket form is not working...
PS2.: On Anniversary Update was working fine....
If you are on a version higher than 15058 (?), are running multiple monitors, and have mixed DPI you may see some spacing issues as Fences on every monitor is picking up and using the DPI of the primary monitor only (due to "improvements" in Windows). Fences was handling this just fine, thank-you-vert-much.
We are aware and working on a fix.
Thanks for reporting.
Just to help:
Windows version higher than 15058 ==> YES
Multiple Monitors ==> NO
HiDPI ==> YES
mixed DPI ==> NO
THX and Waiting anxiously for a fix.
This should be addressed in an upcoming release.
Is there a way to be notified of when this is fixed?
(or just subscribe and monitor this post?)
I'm experiencing the same issue and replied here:

Since it's frustrating me to no end with every reboot, I'd like to get the fix ASAP.
Thank you.
We have released a beta that should address the issue.
Please give that a try and let us know if it is not resolved.
