Hi everyone! I've decided to host a 2v2 tournament.This initial thread is just to let everyone know.We're gonna do double elimination bracket, depending on teams entered, we'll do best of 3 for semi finalists and best of 5 for finals.In the next thread concerning this, we'll have schedule, map pool and officials. I'm going to stream the finals on my twitch, I'll be observing so I won't be participating. I understand not everyone can play at the same time, so it won't be a live tournament. We'll have designated officials to host games in observer mode, if a disconnect happens, we'll reschedule on a different map from the map pool.Creature of Existense will be determining map pool. There is no entry fee, winning team gets $20 steam cards each, runner up gets $5 each.It's not much but should encourage folks to sign up.Use this thread find a teammate and give a best time to play so we can schedule accordingly.Entry Cut off is March 2nd at midnight Texas/US CSTTournament will start March 4th.We'll try to do semi finals March 11th, and Finals March 12thOnce teams are set there will be no substitutions allowed. I also need two officials to volunteer to help keep track of games when I am not available, you don't need to record, but just let me know who won and who lost. Awesome! Great stuff. I planned on doing some tournaments once we get replays up and running and the updated balance patch.I may be able to some live casting of the matches.
Here is the google spread sheet with all relavent information. I've set the intial bracket to account for 4 teams as initial interest seems pretty low. If we have more sign up, I'll change the bracket to match

Hey Guys- I wont be able to join the the Dev stream, but please spread the word. Lexon and are tentatively matched up, but timing might be tough for the two of us. We've both added our info to the google sheet. Looking forward to this!

We had some great games today, team1 vs team 5 and team 5 vs team 6. I've updated the spread sheet to reflect the information.Still having some trouble contacting teams 2,3, and 4. I did speak with a couple of them, but the lack of communication prevented us from getting any more games earlier. If you are signed up, please add me on steam so we can begin arranging more games, I'd really like to stream the games. Be sure to follow me on Twitch and Twitter and I'll post the times and date for games as soon as we can get folks to communicate on it.A huge shout out to GGTheMachine for shoutcasting, we had ~50 viewers in his stream to watch the games!!! Was exciting to see that many people interested in the game and the tournament.Also shout outs to Dante and LuxLupus for joining the tournament last minute.And of course a huge huge shout out to Creature of Existense for filling in when we needed him and helping to organize everything.I know some folks have been a little critical of the event organization, I apologize, it's my first event, and I'm working on it, I promise. And a big thanks to everyone for being patient with me and the event.
