Are you able to post a screenshot of the painting issue in explorer as it may give us a clue as to what's going on.Also a picture of your shellfolderfix settings to compare.Modern apps should natively remember their last position without shellfolderfix.[/quote]
I don't know where to upload the screenshots?
I've tried all settings in sheelfolderfix. no change.
I know that shellfolderfix is not needed for the modern apps, but as explained it effects modern apps positions with WB Active.
When i disable wb Everything works fine, positions working as they should be remembered then.
with wb v10.07 Everything works fine.
You need to post them to an image sharing site and post the link here.

First one i made a red line pointing to the White/grey line that shows that shouldn't be there.
Second pic is my ShellFolderFix settings. Which i have tried different settings with no change.

The white/grey line is normal. It also appears with the default OS theme. It is a separator line between the ribbon and the window content.

No, that line doesn't exist when using earlier versions like 10.07.
It's the default background in Explorer so the skin doesn't draw the skin all the way, hence the line shows.
But in v 10.07 it does and its all black the way it should be.
I installed WB 10.0.7 on a box just to be sure. The line continues to exist. The only difference is you get a large white block above it which may be confusing you. Look under the File button on the left. You should see one line of a greyish colour.
The later versions of WB stop the white block showing (making it match the titlebars) and the line may be darker than before as it is now colouring the ribbon background so it matches a little better with your skin (vs very white)
If you are not getting a large white area with a line under it please provide us with a screenshot as whatever you are using to do that is probably the cause of the problems you are having with the later version of WB.
Have no idea what you mean. I'm gonna try it one last time to explain. This "White/grey"that shows is the default skin in windows without theme. Ok.
The skin and skins doesn't stretch out to reach whole area with the black. This problem only exists in later WB build after 10.07.
Since v10.07 works fine and do it right= stretch it all so no White/grey line shows, hence the later WB builds that's causing it.
Also skinstudio can't strech it any more. It's already in zeros..meaning it stretch fully out. so can't get skinstudio to stretch more.

Here is the correct look how it is with v10.07 same skin there you see youself:
With v10.49 and all versions after 10.07 the line shows:
With v10.07 it's correct no line shows:
the black shows in v10.49 but doesn't stretch far enough.
With v10.49 and all versions after 10.07 the line shows:With v10.07 it's correct no line shows:the black shows in v10.49 but doesn't stretch far enough.
Look closer at your screenshots. There is a light line UNDER the file (Arkiv on yours) menu in your 10.0.7 screenshot. This is the very same line you are seeing. It is simply more obvious now because the area above it in your theme is not white but black. Thus having vastly greater contrast that before.
This is a feature of the operating system happens with all themes including the default OS one and is not a bug in WindowBlinds. WindowBlinds is painting the black in the correct area in your theme (the area which was white), the line is the top line of the ribbon content itself. Complaints regarding this would need to go to Microsoft as it is their control.
In WB 10.0.7 the very same line is being painted. Zoom into your screenshot and you will see it sitting under that white block.
Ok i Think i know what you mean now. I edited the black background out and replaced it with a White. Then it is like in v10.07.
But why doesn't v10.07 show the black backgroundpic? and v 10.49 do show it.
Yes, damn those microsoft dudes
No, it's not a complaint i have against stardock and WB. it's just it was confusing that the black background never been shown before in v10.07 but it does show now with that line in v10.49.
But i see now, and understand now. Thank you very much, Neil for your support, patience and extra eyes Appreciate it! Glad that got sorted out so i know now.
Best regards
WB 10.5.0 has fixed the problem (transparent menus). Yay!!! Kudos to Stardock.
Nerius I had the same problem with the line in explorer. I'm using Win 8.1 after a couple of reboots I never had the problem again. I haven't installed v10.5.0 yet so I'll see if it returns.
On a side note turning off the ribbon through WB might have some conflict if you have Old/New Explorer installed.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, i had that line too in win 8.1 and it stuck there between the reboots too.
as i have understood it, it's like that MS have done it in the GUI so WB can't do anything about it.
