Anything in the works to support both PC and LINUX systems using Multiplicity 3.x?
bump
Another year and no Linux support. I still don't use Multiplicity for that reason. I only have one Windows box, but I have several Linux boxes.
Can anyone just make the Synergy Linux client work with a Multiplicity server?
I can help out if people are serious about this
I'm eventually going to drop Multiplicity in favor of Synergy; I haven't swapped yet because I'm waiting v3. I need something that does multiple operating systems, not just Windows. Syngery does Windows/Linux/Mac where as Multiplicity only works in Windows. Even if Stardock got started TODAY on doing this, it would likely be in development for years; which makes Syngery the favorable product if you want something that works outside of Windows.
Up, +1 for linux support, got rid of Windowz after an update to 11...
Dear heavens ... people still using Synergy? What is this, the dark ages?
Come on, Stardock. You could pick up TONS of users with a Multiplicity client for Linux.
Hell, if you make the API documentation available for a 3rd party client, there would probably be 2-3 attempts at a client in various Linux dev repos by the end of the following week.
Leaving us with VNC and Synergy is honestly rude!
That said, in truth, my most common Linux connection is via Putty. Multiplicity would be great in the 2023 Zeitgeist while I'm using Linux as my Stable Diffusion host. I'm sure others have more long-term needs, here.
+1 Linux, +1 MacOS, +1 Android
What? You never wanted a mouse and keyboard on your tablet?
Same, its actually surprising its not supported given the main purpose of the software.
Multiplicity is the best on the market for PC... expanding to Linux and OSX will make it best on the planet.
Even a partial would be really helpful - like just KVM.
Any updates on this? I would also love to have this and would buy Multiplicity immediately if I could jump between windows and my Linux and Mac workstations seamlessly.
+1 for Linux Support!

Any update on this 8.5 years old thread?
Just wanted to post and hopefully let the Stardock folk know, this is the only reason I haven't already paid for Multiplicity. I can't be the only person in this situation. Until this is available I almost certainly won't buy the application since it isn't fitting my needs.
Hopefully this will be addressed soon but it isn't looking good.
I mentioned almost 2 years ago that Synergy was going to be the better option. Even if Stardock started on the process to make multiplicity multi platform, it would take them years to work out all the bugs.
I gave up even trying; I would suggest you do the same. Stardock is not going to start development on this over 2 pages and a handful of people wanting this even though their nearest competitor offers this. It will just stay behind as a windows only and they won't even adjust the price tag due to its limitations in comparison to their competitor but at this point the competitor is superior and they are only half the price.
