We bought a second hand game from someone and when we tried to register it to get the updates for it to play it, it said it was already registered to another account. How do I get around this so we can play yhte game? The game is Elemental war of Magic. Any help would be appreciated. thank you.
I don't know the specifics of your purchase. But if the registration key has already been used, then the 'second hand' vendor sold you a defective game: (no valid key = zero value of item). If above is true, then vendor should refund all you money including any shipping charges, and tax. It the vendor's 'bad.' If vendor won't - report them. Be sure to find out the physical location of vendor and then report them to Better Business Bureau. I suspect there are also 'on line' places that track the honesty and integrity of vendors. report there as well. If the 'someone' you got the game from is not a vendor, but an acquaintance, (or Craigs list) etc. good luck. (really!)
You must be new on the internet
When a game is registered to an account (on Steam or wherever else), that copy is "used". It's to prevent piracy and has been like that for over 10 years now.
You can't buy secondhand games that require registration today.
There are many great features available to you once you register, including:
