GST is very very Broken right now. 1.9 patch killed it. Will take me awhile to fix, have to pretty much redo all the tech trees, remove the AI stuff and start from scratch. Will be a week or 2 before I get a working version up for ppl to test.

Wow - this looks very promising! I took a year long hiatus from the game and great to come back to so much progress. when I was playing last I was using IAB mod, modified and using ST ships from the workshop. I'd managed to get the AI to use the custom ship sets which was a big project but what you've done is way beyond that!
few questions as I'm completely out of touch with the game now - can I roll back to a previous game version to make your mod work?
i seem to remember that galciv was automatically updated and would break naselus IAB mod every time they would update, is that still the case?
have you done anything with ship speeds in the game? I remember the base game allowed for crazy speeds which made things pretty ridiculous.
any update on latest version that would work with the latest patch?
does the mod incorporate air masters new breen ships?

Mod is currently Broken due to the 1.9 Patch (It works but the AI doesnt seem to colonize much). I am fixing it slowly, I will probably realease a very basic version (factions and Ships) untill I get a grip on the new changes with 1.9. When that will be is hard to say atm.
No possibilty of rolling back a patch.
Yes the mod will be using Airmasters Breen ships.
I have not touched the Engine speeds, yet.
Hi. Just found your mod ( I know its currently broken but I wanted to install and check it out anyway). I have installed as outlined in the mod description/installation.txt (I am no stranger to folder structure or modding) however I cant get the game to load when the mod is activated ( game loads fine with mods disabled) error reads as follows:
\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods\Star Trek - Core\Game\GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml(1292,17): error: element 'DefaultCustomFaction' is not allowed for content model ...bunch of stuff like ,GlobalCapitalColonyMods*,GlobalAsteroidMods*,TradeRouteInitiatorMods*...etc.
This is with a clean uninstall and reinstall of whole GC3 game, mod version 0.4a, and patch 1.1
Is this related to how the mod was broken by GC3 v1.9? I seem to recall seeing a post by you saying that the mod should still load but just that the AI doesn't work properly.

Since I had the same problem when 1.9 dropped, I would suspect he is referring to an unreleased build that he is currently working on.
No reason for him to release a build that doesn't work yet.
I just bought the game and immediately looked for some mod regarding the theme of star trek, finding this done by you. I was impressed. Very good work and would like to thank you. Eagerly awaiting the final version compatible with update 1.9.
2.0 has just been put up as an opt-in. I will be waiting untill this patch is offical before I go any further with GST. ATM with 1.9 I am constantly getting CTD's with the current 1.9 mod (having issues tracking down the issue).
I think I will have to start from scrath and rebuild the mod bit by bit for the current version of GC3. Which is no biggie really, just takes time, meaning the mod will be built/released bit by bit.
Your work is very much appreciated Horemvore! I was playing a bit last night and I think we have too many admins for an insane map but Ill wait till I get deeper in game.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
As of the 1.9/2.0 patches I have stripped back GST to a very basic mod. Factions, Star Systems and Shipsets only. There are no custom ship components, improvements or Tech trees. I am still working on fittign these into the new mod. And yes it is a new mod I have started from scratch due to the changes brought in the last 2 patches. Mini/Continued updates will be provided as and when I get stuff done. These updates will bring the mod back to how it was prior to 1.9.

I have a new version of my Tech Tree Editor that may help you.
It won't help with creating custom ship components or improvements (yet), but it may help with custom Tech trees.
Apart from all the usual stuff, you can Drag and drop Techs to change prerequisites and change tech ages.
Also the Stat Editor has had some TLC, you can now add, delete stats from drop down menus that are tied into the Schema files.
I was going to finish off the 'search and highlight Techs' feature before release.
Let me know if it may be of use and I'll upload it.
Ya it will be of use! A huge help tbh. I have basic trees setup now(All the basic renaming of Thalan - Dominion ect), just need to do stats/renamings of individual techs ect.
I am avoiding Improvements/Components atm, only caus eI know its goign to be time consuming and fiddley to get it all back to how it was.
I have one small bug to fix. Mouse over stat looking at wrong name. Too late tonight.

Just a head up, Vulcans crash the game. Fixed it localy, will update tomorrow once I have tested the Tech trees and informative Diplomacy.

So excited for this! I think I discovered this mod when 1.9 broke it on you, and have been waiting for it to get back into GCIII.
I just installed your version .5 it off a fresh install of the game, and getting some crazy crash errors; not sure if you're already aware or if it's my lack of complicated mod'ing knowledge. I literally just registered an account so I could be up to date on your hard work with this mod. haha.
Let me know if I can help in posting the crash reports that it's spitting out at me. 1st seems to be a "no declaration found" on the "MapSizeDefs.xml". Then a bunch of errors on the different tech files ranging from the Andorians, Borg, and Vulcans...
You need to install the 2.0 Preview Patch. Its under the Beta's tab of GC3 Properties in Steam.
Updated the Alpha 0.5 Link with the work I have done over last couple days:
Research Improvements reduced by 5% across the board.Research Modules reduced by 5% across the board.Research increased to its pre 1.9 Values.Starbase spacing increased to 4 (from 2).Re-added Resource Components.Re-added faction specific weapons.
Beta 1.0 Released, get it from Nexus, link in OP. Mod should be pretty much back to how it was pre 1.9. The only Difference atm is most of the ST Lore text has been reverted back to Vanilla GC3. I will update this over the next few weeks to regain the ST Flavor!

I believe the Cosmetic folder is missing from your WinRAR upload.
The installation txt file says:
