We're going to start the seventh Offworld tournament soon - basically as soon as we have 16 people signed up. 1v1 format, best-of-3, games must be streamed and played on next_version or Beta 10, depending on which is available.

We can open it up for more than 16 players, but that may mean that some players get first round byes if we don't get to 32. I'd like to start by Wednesday at the latest.
I'd love to play in a tournament, but what kind of time commitment are we talking about? Would I have to take time off work or would a weekend or weekday after 6:00PM EST good enough?
That's not exactly how these tournaments work - all you have to do is to schedule your match with whoever you get paired with during the week and play it (and make sure it's streamed/recorded so devs can watch it). There will be some kind of a deadline before which the match should be finished but it's not the kind of a tournament where all games have to be played in one sitting

Soren pairs us up, we plan & play our 1st round matches , stream and post in the results thread and Soren updates the leaderboard. when the time comes around for Round 2, the round 1 winners repeat the process.
