I started a new game with the 1.3 Opt-In 2 and it was going along ok until it got stuck on a turn. This is different from the other "Idle Ship" stuck turns as I can't save the game while it's stuck. I reloaded and manually used up all ship movements and even decommissioned ships that were stationed at planets and the shipyard, then saved it.
If I hit the Turn button, the AI ships will move, but the game will not progress. Also, if I hit "Exit", the window will close, but the game stays running in the background until I open the Task Manager and end the task.

I have recently encountered this bug also. latter mid game, gigantic galaxy. Between the "idle ship" , now the "wait" interruptions I have not been to complete my last four games. When is the company going to correct these errors.
I find it odd that SD couldn't reproduce the problem with your saves. I'll download it and try. So far, I downloaded the first save (from Empress_Fujiko) and it got stuck in wait mode. Now that I've done a wipe and re-install, I'll try again.
<edit> I tried the save games posted in this thread and all of them are stuck on "WAIT". I can't understand Stardock not being able to reproduce it. </edit>

This one got stuck 10-12 turns later, I submitted it to SD with other games since 1.2 in the hopes they could see what was going on before the game got stuck.

I have same problem as described above gets stuck on wait no option to save. tried reloading still gets stuck on turn. I have noticed that 1 turn before the crash a colinizable planet appears in ai territory that wasn't there the turn before, not sure if related
I tried the other saves posted here, Autosave and Eldar, both are stuck after 1 turn.

We have a fix for that stuck turn for the next patch release.

The upcoming fix address the Altarian save game problem (same one as redvipers). However, I wasn't able to reproduce the problem in the "stuck again" save game file. It may have been fixed before I had a chance to look at it.

Indications look good since he couldn't reproduce the problem on one of my saves, but could on the other. I hope it works on saved games since my latest game just got stuck on wait. 4 in a row. I'm on hold until the update. I hope it's soon.
Thank you! I've been filled with dread wondering if my current game will succumb to this dreaded bug! Being so addicted to this game I couldn't resist starting another one despite the reports that the bug is still present... On turn 280, I still have 8/10ths of the galaxy left to conquer, I've now crawled up to rank position #4 and my fingers are crossed! Wish me luck, I'm going in!!!

A somple Bug and simple to resolve!
It happens every time, when you command 2 Ships/Fleets to move to each other!!! In the same turn...
Just avoid this just let them (both) move to an empty tile and get them there combined. Had to save and reload a lot of times until I found it !!!

That's an interesting thought, chburbe. If the fix hasn't made it out after I get home, I might try looking for that. I did go back and move all of my ships prior to ending the turn, but didn't notice if any stopped on top of each other. There were maybe 3 ships that had orders and hadn't used all of their moves yet. Since I only have a handful of ships total, it should't be hard to check.
Fix did not work for me. I have a save 2 turns away form the bug. Loaded, put everything on guard, even shut down shipyards; two turns later BAM stuck on wait
The opt-in patch works! No more stuck game.

Excellent news! Looking forward to finishing this long game over the next week or so. Will be interesting to see if the AI starts to kick some more of my butt with all these AI changes.

Well, I just ran into this bug. Turn 287, cannot save or continue. Trying the 1.31 optin now.

Yup, guess I jinx myself. Just got it again. First time in this game.
Edit: the good news is I was finally able to successfully submit a ticket after trying numerous times over the past several months... Though I didn't see any indication that my submitted file was attached to my ticket. Hopefully that uploaded all right.
