I know. But it's not available to me as an opt-in. All I see is "opt-in v1.1 Hotfix Opt-in"
My trick is to attempt to verify the local cache. That sometimes triggers a download.
Hopefully they snuck in a fix for defensive systems always becoming point defenses, too...
Nope, just tried it, issue is still there.
Didn't work. It changed some files, but looking at my internal version number, it looks like I am stuck on 1.1.1.
According to the debug.err, Version 1.1, Build #224. And none of my XMLs or the game app itself have a timestamp past 7/10.
Gonna keep playing around with this and see I can get this to download.

I'd really like to try this as well (especially the pirate fix, my current game has dozens of pirate shipyards doing nothing).
Will someone who is successfully using it let the rest of us know how you did so? i.e. did it just show up on your beta list, did you put in a beta code,or what? I have the same issue as BuckGodot reported above.
Buck, I have the same issue. My download says 'Opt in 1.11'. My exe says 1.1.10.0.
I opted in and started a new game. Pirates are STILL not building at their shipyards. I do not think Raynman opened the valve releasing this or if there was a password I am not aware of it.
Apparently still not as of 7/17/2015 925am EST. Okay, SD, you guys need to step up and let us know if it is actually released and how to obtain it please. Thanks.
Sorry for any confusion, it seems that the build did not update as intended. It is possible I just need to clean the internet tubes and see what is going on. I will update when I have more information.

Yeah don't fix any of the major disasters but that's ok only 5 more months till the game is releasable.

After further investigation it appears that the hot patch is updating properly for some people but not for everyone. We are working with Valve to try and figure out why this is happening. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
Thanks Raynman. I am one who has not had the 'hotpatch' Also will this affect current games or will we need to restart a new one?
My opt in on steam says to opt in on patch 1.11 or the option to none, no opt in.

Thanks for looking into this. That is quite odd! To date, I've never had an issue opting in to any of the betas throughout GC3's development until now. Hope it gets sorted soon!

Mine is also showing up as Opt-in V1.1. I haven't opted in yet and will wait until a dev says it's ready for that.
Is this patch for everyone or just founders? I just started a new game and would hate for the new patch to cause any issues with my current game.
