Fixed an issue where the race trait that gives first improvement free was able to incorrectly award an ongoing project as the item to be awarded. Since this is impossible it prevents the item from ever clearing, and it also prevents any other manufacturing from happening. This basically locks out the planet from ever being usable to the AI.

Added a new Medium UI size

In the error popups that come up when you fail to colonize a planet or declare war on another player, it now says why you cannot do these things (e.g. UP resolution prohibits this, this player is immune to war, etc.)

Added a new ambient music track
The Yor tech tree currently has a bug that prevents you fro unlocking the top two economic starbase modules, even after you have researched the tech.
Modding tools and such WILL be coming. Paul has had that question twice in the last two streams. His reason it is taking a bit longer was he wanted to spruce it up a bit to make it more user friendly.
I'm getting a freeze during turn processing. Well, the game itself isn't freezing, but I hit "end turn" and then nothing happens; I can't do anything but quit the game - the AI never finishes its turn, or something like that. It happens about 3 turns after this autosave.

Yes, I've just run into the same thing on my 2nd game with 1.1 optin. I've just tried once again to submit a ticket but SD's site just really dislikes my IP address or something as I can never successfully do it. So, here's my save game showing the same issue. I'm hoping that the official 1.1 will allow me to finish this game.

I was able to submit a ticket once before for another bug; I'll try it again and link to both your save and mine. Figured it would be easier to post here, but I dunno what the devs prefer for this sort of thing
1.1 is now unplayable.
I'm up to about my 4th game, with the first two being 500 turns without issues
The third game got to about 250 turns when the game slowed to the point that it was unplayable. I would simply be suck on wait long after all visible movement had stopped on the map. (I use sensor boats with 60 plus radius)
The fourth game had the same thing at 131 tuns. It wasn't crashed or locked up, as all functions still worked. The turn would just not advance.
The new fix to correct for the crash on the race window with races using overly long modifier lists on a single modded trait works fine though it results in an empty grey box.
The same crash however still occurs when mousing over the same trait in the diplomacy report window in game.
The latest changes look good.
How do you get to the console now, though? The ' or ~ key doesn't seem to work anymore.
This reproduces here, I'm checking it out now. Thanks!
Map editor?
We have a fix for this, we will update the patch tomorrow with the fix. Thanks for reporting it!
How do we use Steam Workshop subscribed ships?
The Steam overlay doesn't seem to work in this game (exclusively), but whenever I use the new buttons for workshop - the upload one works but the other one does nothing. I've already subscribed to the designer ships I'm trying to look at, so I'm not sure what else to try.
This is with both [ ] mods enabled (on and off) and with a restart after the patch applied. (Including a restart of steam, and a double-check that I do have steam overlay enabled with shift-tab.)
Thanks
Nice! Unfortunately, I have already deleted my last games when I saw it still happened with the official 1.1. Good to hear that you have now nailed it though!
You have to use a cheat exe shortcut to the game now, as it was with GCII
Make a new shortcut and paste in the target below
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\GalCiv3.exe" cheat
Use that shortcut when you want to use the console
"We have a fix for this, we will update the patch tomorrow with the fix. Thanks for reporting it!"
Good lesson for me. I went through hell to figure out and opt in to 1.1 and then encountered this mega-frustrating bug in every single match. I figured someone else would've reported it so 1.1 full would be fine so instead of reporting, went through full uninstall and then re-downloaded the game to roll it back.
Next time will report...
make sure "see all ship designs" is checked.
Can you somehow enable modded Ship Style? I mean individual ships are nice and everything but I really want to be able to download whole styles not ship by ship.
Anyone could tell me. When russian localization will be ready?
DEVS! Please fix Morale, the LEP is 100% IMPOSSIBLE to work with. I am on insane map with 215 planets, 0 overall morale, I have a max morale starbase on every damn planet, I have 5 morale relics with maxed starbases on them, every single god damn morale Tech maxed, 2 morale buildings on every worthless planet, full Benevolent ideology maxed for morale, and 13 Harmony Crystals. It is broken as shit and morale is 100% useless for this game on large maps. You people need to fix it, add in some techs that reduce the LEP or something idk but it wouldn't be hard to do. Also when you do fix it add in some actual penalties for having very low morale like planets rebelling and becoming pirate. I have not plaid the game for a month because it is not fun knowing that all my planets Including Earth hate life and there isn't anything I can do about it.
Ok, so I too am getting the bug where the game won't advance. Hopefully the fix drops soon. Should it already be out there today? That post was two days ago.

Ok, so I have three or four maxed entertainment centers, an intimidation center, and two or three maxed starbases on my planets on an insane map with similar number of planets. You just need to build more, dude. Starbase the shit out of your dudes and add a couple more morale buildings and you'll be fine. I'm at 70% right now and climbing. You might also go get some more morale relics as well while you're at it. Welcome to Starbase3, the starbase simulator.
Mizaq what I am trying to get is that it is broken. What I am doing right now is already considered to much just for morale and what you are suggesting would be on the extreme side. Doing all of that would make me suffer in a number of areas mostly micromanagement and my sanity. The biggest issue of all however is that the AI provides zero challenge cause even on the hardest difficulty they all stop expanding after a certain point even when there are tons of planets around them. So I end up steamrolling all of them with industry and tech cause I have more planets then almost all of them put together.
no fix for the super ship exploit let ?
which allow you to make ships with huge amount of resources and then trade them off over and over running resources into negative unlimitedly ?
MP exploit
------------------------
here how it works.Empire 1 has one Resource AEmpire 1 builds ship that uses Resource AEmpire 1 - can not build any more ships that use Resource AEmpire 1 Trades ship to Empire 2Empire 1 then builds one more ship that uses resource AEmpire 1 then trades ship to empire 2Empire 1 then builds ship that uses resource A aginempire 1 then trades ship to empire 2this keeps happening 30 some timesthen empire 2 gives half ships back to empire 1 and both empires have more ships that use resource then there suppose to and uses those super ships to mop up other players in the game.
Thanks for the update. Game fares much better then v1.0
Some findings I had and might need a review:
- Motivation/Unforgiving Ideology does not enable "Culling Project" or at least I couldn't find it at my planets as selectable project after unlocking the ideology. It might be worthwhile to test all the unlocks in the ideology tree to weed out if some are still not working correctly
- Approval equals Moral? If yes why not use the same concept for buildings and planet parameter, if no what is exact relation of the two?
- Buildings are always listed in the building selection table as their tier 1 versions. Is this intentional? Noticed they get upgraded right away but that might only be the auto-upgrade option activated
- Some UP votes have shown not the result but how a specific Race has voted. A graphical representation of the votes would be welcome as it is difficult to calculate the percentages with many races and character coding of the options. Imagine a column chart showing the options on X and the SUM % on Y, or a pie chart in case of yes or no votes
- A race was last in the UP list though it had the 3rd highest percentage of votes (in small number of races no problem but if it effects several races at once in a huge universe, the list could get messy)
- Minor graphical glitches (using small UI on full HD): Values do not have enough space: Research Points in 4 digits; Wealth in 6 digits - maybe more digits would not be used often but these could be frequent on very big universes
- Gaia Vortex has the same image as Amusement Park (minor stuff but one thing I love about this new version are the neatly crafted buildings and their many sorts please try to keep these unique )
1. yes approval and morale are the same things
2. you cannot build higher level buildings directly they are only upgrades, always has been that way.
3. Never seen a "Culling Project" ever and the code doesn't actually reference it.
4. the UP result is always in green after the vote.
5. the UP list isnt sorted at all.
