EDIT:
FO4 is launched most places now, (except Japan?). Ending updates to this thread.
Looks like Beth has released an official Fallout 4 trailer. World has gone to the dogs, one car has the brotherhood icon painted on - just before we see an 'inert' brotherhood in full battle armor ... is s/he really inert, or just watching?

September 1-2, 2015 -Three new articles:
1) FO4 won't be as bleak as FO3, society has already commenced rebuilding. Beth says the protagonist once lived in the pre holocaust world, so themes of emotional loss will be explored. http://www.inquisitr.com/2385612/fallout-4-wont-be-as-bleak-as-previous-installments-of-the-series/
2) Beth told GameSpot that the PC specs will be released about a month before FO4 launches.

Thank you for that. Saves a a lot of time hunting for uncensored but not region locked versions
Agree.
I love what they have released so far about Fallout 4, but I also have some fears about what they haven't.
I mean its cool that u get to customize weapons, build bases and so on, but so far I have seen surprisingly little actual question, exploring, interesting places and so on.
I fear that they may have focused so much on all the new blingbling they may have forgotten what really made fallout games good: the interesting open world exploring and the finding or new OP stuff, resource management and so on.
The only thing I think Bethesda has consistently done brilliantly is their world design. So I wonder, where does this fear come from?
Yes, Beth makes great designs - and the modding community has great tools... and lots of experience. I definitely want that combo to go... directly to my PC....

Beth is considering a season pass for all FO4 DLC. 30$US. What do you think?
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-09-09-fallout-4s-big-season-pass-promise
I never buy season passes, because it is very rare that i consider all DLC for a game a must have. And most times they are not even that much a bargain. Often, if you just skip one of those DLCs you come away cheaper.
Well, and more often then i like, when i finish a game at last there will be a GOY Edition with all the DLC on a sale for like €5.
Wonderful arraingemnt of FO main theme w trailer.

Thats very good News. Maybe i wont use VATS that much this time around.
.... nah who i am kidding. Every FPS should have VATS. I just love it.
6 November 2015 - FYI: Pre loading on steam has begun. Users on Reddit are posting frustration that the FO$ box has not arrived yet, so they cannot commence with preloading.
Judges are in! It's glitchy and shitty on consoles. And if you're playing on 100+ fps your game will move ~30% faster than those on 60 fps! Also the usual nvidia gameworks shenanigans have put their stamps on things like godrays etc. All par for the course nowadays.
reddit's review thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/3s4k5n/fallout_4_review_thread/
Yes, its the beth tradition to release these games (Elder scrolls / Fallout) with a few bugs. I trade that off with the extremely robust modding community that loves theses games and lavishes love on 'em. I play on a mid range PC, and the only glitch I found, so far, is very occasionally my pip boy screen goes blank - always after playing many hours. Save / reload fixes. Nvidia jive- will have to look into that - is new to me. Thanks for heads up.
Incidents tend to stand out, the smooth riding not so much. I've had to restart one quest due a glitch, and that was an early one. It is easier to figure out this stuff with all the online resources though, as opposed to the old days when you had to order the fix through physical mail, on a floppy disk. The process could take weeks! People claim to be impatient and annoyed about mere minutes today. I have to laugh! Hahaha-hahaha-ahhh-hahhh. That was good! Now where was I?
Good value for money, after comparing actual play time to the investment itself. Oddities, glitches and some missing audio detected. And at least one misaligned rock. Not too shabby, all in all! That, and they have cats! Best Fallout game with cats ever!
I agree, I am like totally happy with the Fallout 4 rollout. Yes, I am sure glitches happen (not to me so far!). But the modding community will polish this game up to the max. Script extender is out, maps with roads, the obligatory nude mods, embellishments of the settlement building system, and many graphics enhancements. A 'better' HUD will, I expect, be out very soon. Totally happy I am with Fallout4 rollout.
