Replaces the Anomalies and greatly increases their diversity and coolness!Replaces all Mercenaries from the BazaarReplaces the Mines and Bazaar modelsReplaces the Pirate models and grants them a few starting ships!Adds additional Abilities!Adds additional Starting Ship Combos! KNOWN ISSUES and USE1) If you use this mod for your own ships/races/etc. a brief credit to this mod is appreciated. 2) Turn ship-trails off, I use engines as parts in turrets and hulls, it can be distracting.3) If you experience performance issues, it is most likely the result of the heavy use of animations in any/all of my ship models, or otherwise GC3's general issues. If you experience issues, I recommend either playing with less total races, less races utilizing the ship sets, or otherwise upgrading your PC. 4) Under no circumstances may you upload any of these ship designs or factions to Steam.THANK YOUPlease reach out and report any glitches/bugs, any ships with clipping or other issues. Also it would be great, if you end up adding to the designs using the custom components, for you to share them with the community! Please credit the mod if you do!Special thanks to: Horemvore for his helpful attitude and Diplomacy UI mod!R3bel02 for one of his logos. JP193 for submitting a design via the contest. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!

Are you planning to post a playthrough with your race mod?
Stop being a tease and release your (awesome) mod already! 1.1 has been out for HOURS now!
In all seriousness, those ships looks amazing! Cant wait to create lots of custom factions using your templates
Wow.So much better than the vanilla ships.
Hey guys! I will try tho release when I get home from work lol! That being said from what I'm reading my suspicions were right and mods are not truly supported yet.
Sigh
I'll get it up on nexus Asap
The MOD is AVAILABLE!!!! Woooooo

Unfortunately Steam Workshop does not support even minor mods like mine, so until that changes, you will have to use the Nexus site for acquiring the mod! Please report any issues you have to me via a PM, I'll do my best to help you. Furthermore, if notice clipping on any of the ships, I'd greatly appreciate knowing.
Thank you so much for your support and patience! Installation video instruction to come soon!

Dammnit now I hafta make another nine custom ships for my latest mod project!
No truly cheers mate good to see it released and downloading now.
Let me know if you were successful in installing/using the mod please!
All work good so far(2 hours of playing, still in the exploration/expending phase) Will report later once there is more ships in space shooting lasers at each other.
Playing huge/6 factions, 5 of yours plus my own, everything look bloody gorgeous.
Tough its impossible to add module on all those moving parts but in the end its so worth it!
Are you going to add tech trees?
Hahahahaha
Yes it is impossible to add modules to those ships lol... lots of shrinking required.
I forget if the "hide part" command works on real components... but if and when it does that would certainly make things easier. Otherwise... well... sorry
@Ashberry76
Well, that is a good question. In general, I intend for my mod to not alter gameplay in any way, so that I can make it as compatible as possible with all other mods, I think Deathwynd is working on something with Ship Blueprints and thus why he needs to make 9 more designs... but other than that, you can add this to any other mod hopefully.
Immediate Future goals are:
1) Flesh out each ship set (in some cases I got lazy and repeated the same ship model too often)
2) Add fun names for each ship in the descriptions
3) Add 3 more Ship Sets and custom races.
4) Learn to add/mod Minor Races (though with so many opponents allowed, I'm considering why have Minor Races in a game at all?)
5) Learn to make quality logos and start adding those.
Notably, if anyone is already really good at logo making and wants to assist, I'd welcome it. I'd only have specific wants for one logo, and all others would be entirely up to you.
PS: Is it just me, or Logos kind of... suck on the galactic map? They are always so fuzzy and illegible, I wonder why we bother having them on there...
The mod installed and works just fine, the ships look beyond awesome in game!
Yeah I am working on a mod that specifically adds a new hull type and because of the way it works it needs a custom ship design for each race. I can PM you a link for the beta version if you are interested in seeing it Gauntlet.
Absolutely!
Is there a way to stop all the ships going up and down.It is a bit annoying.
You can edit the designs just turn off the animations on the first part.
Personally I consider it a feature. I like the movement in the galaxy map.
Those are some good looking ships.
Could the minbZari be missing their icon? They seem to be displaying a random icon / no icon in my current game.
Magnificent work Gauntlet!
Thank you!
By Icon do you mean their logo? Or do you mean a ship icon or such?
I meant the logo. When looking at the race in the editor they do not seem to have a logo set, perhaps you forgot to include it in the package?
Errr how do you equip parts (engines, etc) the model is constantly moving, even after I stopped all animations. More importantly the hooks all seem to appear below the model - which means whatever part I equip appears under...
The ships Gauntlet has designed are intended to be used as it without visual modification. I would suggest just turning the scale on any ship modules way down and then just clicking them into place, makes the whole process much simpler.
175 turn in, ship still looks good, even when exploding! I especially like that you kept the *core* design alive, so that I can recognize an enemy transport at a glance, even if its a totally new design that I did not met before!
Only thing tough(save for the missing logo as TMPhoenix said) is that my ships, in the battle viewer, use kinetic animation when using beam weapons.
I use the Terran sovereignty ships, with the basic (level 0) beam weapon.
It might be a mod conflict tough(I use one other mod that also add a custom faction+ full ships design) so if other people are not reporting that specific bug it might be it.
When I go to New Game, Edit Race, Appearance, there is no sample ship displayed.
Hey guys!
1) GalCiv refuses to show a custom ship in the appearance preview. If you click on a default ship set, and then select one of mine, you will see a preview ship of whatever you last were seeing. This will give you an idea of colors, sorry for the glitch, but there is no solution at the moment.
2) Regarding the weapons LostKnight... I can't reproduce, and my mod doesn't alter weapons in any way... so I have to assume its either another mod you have or GalCiv itself.
3) In regards to ship movement, Deathwynd gave you good advice, make your parts tiny and add to an innocuous spot. I'm sorry but in order to produce the quality ship/product I want, I consider a float animation crucial, and you can tell, I don't use the standard components aesthetically, as I want each race's weapons and such to look unique.
I'll be updating later tonight or tomorrow mornning, when I do, I'll include some advice. Update will fix the missing logo notably.
THANK YOU for reporting issues/etc.! Very kind of you!
