Replaces the Anomalies and greatly increases their diversity and coolness!Replaces all Mercenaries from the BazaarReplaces the Mines and Bazaar modelsReplaces the Pirate models and grants them a few starting ships!Adds additional Abilities!Adds additional Starting Ship Combos! KNOWN ISSUES and USE1) If you use this mod for your own ships/races/etc. a brief credit to this mod is appreciated. 2) Turn ship-trails off, I use engines as parts in turrets and hulls, it can be distracting.3) If you experience performance issues, it is most likely the result of the heavy use of animations in any/all of my ship models, or otherwise GC3's general issues. If you experience issues, I recommend either playing with less total races, less races utilizing the ship sets, or otherwise upgrading your PC. 4) Under no circumstances may you upload any of these ship designs or factions to Steam.THANK YOUPlease reach out and report any glitches/bugs, any ships with clipping or other issues. Also it would be great, if you end up adding to the designs using the custom components, for you to share them with the community! Please credit the mod if you do!Special thanks to: Horemvore for his helpful attitude and Diplomacy UI mod!R3bel02 for one of his logos. JP193 for submitting a design via the contest. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!

Ah that's actually really perfect, thanks for quickly explaining how you set it up. Lol I should've asked sooner.
Dear Mr. Gauntlet,
While I admire many of the things within GRM, I'm having memory issues (well, age is part of that I guess), and need to simplify what I'm doing or give up GC3 entirely. What I've been stumbling around the web in search of, but have not found, is HOW TO REMOVE GRM! Even when mods are turned off, the sheer number of added races and other delights drags my computer to glacial speeds and sometime crashes.
Yes, I'm a gamer of little brain and flunked my first programming class before you were born. I find myself up a tree, with the honey pot over my head, and besieged by bees. Christopher Robin won't answers my texts.
In short, HOW CAN I GET BACK TO JUST BEFORE SQUARE ONE? I tried a nuclear option by re-installing GC3/Crusades but GRM tagged along somehow with ethereal energy. It won't stay dead! OBVIOUSLY I'M DOING SOMETHING WRONG!
Please help. And keep it simple.
Great mod though,
Thank you,
But how about AI then? THe AI plays with no optimal ship components? That would weaken already no-human-level AI notably.
Remember that 90% of the content is in your "documents" folder for GC3 Crusade. So navigate there... then there is a folder for designs and a folder for factions and mods, and everything else. If you truly want Square One, delete EVERYTHING. Then reinstall the game.
If you want certain races and ship designs, everything is pretty clearly labeled so just remove what you don't like.
The point here, is that the AI's default ship designs have been replaced, but that I have not modified the AIs ability to design ships (they use a specific set of "blueprints" for their designs... which I have not meddled with).
So the AI is just as stupid or just as smart in its designs as Stardock has intended. That being said, I would class the AI's designs as generally "poor" and otherwise suited best for defense with little attention to what really wins wars in GC3... SPEED.
Having a slight issue here. I go to buy the mercs, it says that I have bought them and they become unavailable, but I am neither receiving them nor getting charged for them.
You most likely did not install the merc files in the correct directory. Specifically the .zip files that go in the Game's Directory, not the mod/documents directory.
Hmm...file dates say that I did, but am going to re-install anyway, JIC...trying a new game...nope, same issue
I'm just starting with Galciv3 and found your mod, really having fun with. Some ships really remind of some scifi series (B5 & Firefly).
Thank you so much for making this.
Hi Gauntlet,
Dont know if others are having the same problem but the 2.5 beta appears to have broken the mercenaries element of GRM. Everything else works well but mercenaries have all their stats set to zero across the board. Tried reinstalling GRM but still have this problem - uninstalled GRM and got vanilla mercenaries, reinstalled GRM, got your mercenaries but all stats are zero again.
Thanks
Daren
I can't replicate this issue... can anyone else?
I had an issue where I would get a crash notice, but the game would still be up, with the info in the new info square gone, and the CTD a few turns later.
turned out to be a corrupted file, when I redownloaded the mod and reinstalled, it worked fine.
Hi Gauntlet - now done a complete reinstall of both Gal Civ 3 and your MOD and have just made the error worse - stats still zero but have lost pictures but can still see the names, costs. Installed it on my old computer and everything works fine and as it should. Only thing different is that my current pc has an M2 drive as it's 'C drive' and all the games programmes, inc steam and gal civ3, are on a traditional drive as an 'e drive'. Are the links hardcoded to look at a c drive?
Really driving me mad at the moment - I like to use your mod for the ship designs and the ability to give each race 4 abilities which really adds to the way each race plays. Pse keep up the good work.
I would post a screen shot but I can't work out how to get it into messages like this, I'm assuming it has to hosted online as it won't load from my desktop or pictures folder.
Regards
Well... I have no idea why you would have that sort of issue. Best advice for right now:
1) Reinstall game.
2) Don't install the GRM files for the game's directory.
3) Install everything else for the mods/factions/ships.
4) Remove "Grm-M" from your mods directory.
You won't have the mercenaries, or custom bazaar but everything else should work fine.
Hi everyone!
IF you are experiencing issues with Mercenaries not having stats or blank pictures/etc. I can confirm, that you have failed to install the "files for your game directory" properly. You may have inserted the files too deep into the file structure, or otherwise just not replaced files when prompted. People especially seem to miss the Ship and Object zip files.
Its all very annoying I know.
BUT
Good news!! The latest version of GC3 makes it possible to edit mercenaries and the Bazaar WITHOUT using the game's directory!!! This means the ONLY files I need to put in the game directory is a zipfile with the preview ships for the various custom fleet styles.
This means the next version of GRM will be much easier to install, and if you do make a mistake, the consequence is incredibly minor (you won't see a ship when previewing/editing the appearance of a race's ships.). This is a really great development!
SO
I am busy creating some content to make the next version of GRM worth downloading... I've been raising/training a puppy, so I've been very distracted... I can't promise much, but at the least, you'll have new race portraits and new citizen portraits and a shiny, easier installation.
Thanks for reading!
Thanks Gauntlet - that seems to work. Back to vanilla mercenaries but can't have everything.
Alrighty! So what is GRM up to?
1) As mentioned above, new and improved installation with less than ever before going into the game's directory! (Thank you SD)
2) 4-5 New Home Systems
3) 11 New Backgrounds
4) 8 New Race Portraits with basic Citizen portraits (one race gets a full set of recolored citizen pics)
5) annnnnddddddd I'm trying to work on two new shipsets... I'll probably get one done and release... we'll see.
This ship is for "The Arachnids" ala Starship Troopers. Thusly, organic spaceships... and I was inspired by the Ender's Game movie designs.

Oh god, I hope you didn't find any of mine! I increased my load to 120, and I hate overlappingm since my pack is supposed to add-on to yours!
Version 7.0 of GRM Released. This update:
Simpler Installation, additional content, one new shipset... I gotta admit, the shipset was really phoned in at the end, but I wanted to get this release out, I'll work on refining it!
Thanks!
YAY!!! Time to start playing GCIII again!
Check out the horror I am visiting on you in my new post.
Thank your for your work, Gauntlet.
My very first try with a mod at GalCiv III and wow!!!!! Absolutly great and awesome!!! Thank you very very much!
One question. At the game start I've got a message about something planet file is missing (3 times) but there was a button to continue. What is this?
But game works fine
Hey there! Do you have all the DLC and Crusade? Specifically the Revenge of the Snathi?
Some of the custom home systems I've made rely on their content to work, so if you are missing that, it could explain it.
I have all dlc and also crusade. I will post this message in a few hours when the twins sleep...
