Replaces the Anomalies and greatly increases their diversity and coolness!Replaces all Mercenaries from the BazaarReplaces the Mines and Bazaar modelsReplaces the Pirate models and grants them a few starting ships!Adds additional Abilities!Adds additional Starting Ship Combos! KNOWN ISSUES and USE1) If you use this mod for your own ships/races/etc. a brief credit to this mod is appreciated. 2) Turn ship-trails off, I use engines as parts in turrets and hulls, it can be distracting.3) If you experience performance issues, it is most likely the result of the heavy use of animations in any/all of my ship models, or otherwise GC3's general issues. If you experience issues, I recommend either playing with less total races, less races utilizing the ship sets, or otherwise upgrading your PC. 4) Under no circumstances may you upload any of these ship designs or factions to Steam.THANK YOUPlease reach out and report any glitches/bugs, any ships with clipping or other issues. Also it would be great, if you end up adding to the designs using the custom components, for you to share them with the community! Please credit the mod if you do!Special thanks to: Horemvore for his helpful attitude and Diplomacy UI mod!R3bel02 for one of his logos. JP193 for submitting a design via the contest. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!

Quick update... on a small vacation and putting in a little mod time. Still very slowly working on that last shipset I previewed, a couple more Mercs, and plugging away at converting all my custom components to a new naming scheme.
The new naming scheme simply marks all custom parts with 1-theme (like 1-TS). This will be nice for me, as it means my files will be organized enough that I can download other people's ships and actually enjoy them lol.
Looking forward to the new expansion, especially if it delivers on the full race creator... in which case, GRM will be in for a big overhaul I'm sure!
Thanks for the update. Have fun on your vacation. Happy New Year.
Parts Renamed/Rebuilt
VGR Set re-saved/files rebuilt/added some models (Set icon colors now match the shipset color scheme of the Veygar Hordes)
MERCS Finished! FINALLY ... I definitely 'phoned it in' on some of those.
Gotta finish a set and I'm building the Aquilarans their Starbase models... then I think I'll release an update.
DONE!!!!!

Support
You can also now support me by donating via Nexus, and I have a Patreon page with a small goal too!
https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4834743
I hesitated to open this up to donations, but so many of you have been so kind as to tell me I should be being paid for this work, that I decided to do it. Obviously any support at all, verbal or otherwise is always deeply appreciated.
GRM 5.0 Changes
1) MERCS are now Fully replaced (finally!)
2) All the custom parts have been reorganized/named/saved, making your file structure more organized for easier management.
3) Two additional races with their own custom shipsets!
4) The usual additional backgrounds and racial portraits.
5) Aquilaran Starbases! (Shipset AQH)
Awesome. Now I am going to have to start playing Galciv again.
Anyone find a bug or such?
Great thank you Gauntlet!
Don't sweat asking for donations, Gauntlet. You are providing the equivalent of nine $5 DLC packs from Stardock, for free. I'll happily donate to the cause (when I gets my version 5.0, and not a second sooner! ). For all the person-hours you've put in on this project, you deserve more than just our adulation.
So, here's what I say: if anyone out there has ever said, "Gauntlet, Stardock should pay you," then throw in a little coffee money or whatever you can spare. And I have read that statement a lot. So, whatever goal Gauntlet has set, let's blow it out of the water! If nothing else, it will show Stardock how interested we are in substantive additional content, and should encourage them to invest even more in Crusade!
EDIT: My money is where my mouth is.

Awesome! Thanks. do we have to uninstall previous versions first?
I definitely would! This version more than, most reorganized a lot of design files.
Thanks General Pants! I'll reply more when I'm not in a plane!
is there any way to know what version im using while in game, to make sure the latest version 'took'...?
No problem. Your mod adds a lot to my game (GC2 too), and $60 a year is a small price to keep you going. Note that Stardock is getting less money from me for Crusade than you are for the mod. If you are listening Stardock, please take note; I have more ca$h if you have more content! Or you could just hire Gauntlet... and you could then get more of my money!
Sadly no... but you can tell everything is right by:
1) Are all the custom components I give you in the game now called 1-XX etc.etc. where XX is the theme? For example 1-TS CMP Sensor Array
If so, looks good.
2) Anything crash? The Bazaar in particular? No? Good!
3) Any messages about missing homeworlds, unable to load races/etc. when starting the game? No? Good!
4) Do you now have a race called "The Hiver Alliance"? If so, you really should be all set.

These check out, so I think I'm in good shape. Thanks!
Well the first Patreon/paid supported content is up!
The new content replaces asteroid mines... I think everything is setup to only allow a pledger to download this content... which for now, I'm still learning how this system works.
Thanks!
ARGH! You win! I can't keep modding your race pack! Just loaded up 5.0... looking forward to it!
I guess with Crusade You will have to go from Gauntlet's Race MOD to Gauntlet's Civilization MOD.
It should have been Gauntlet's Faction Mod, but Forester, you should have been around long enough to have seen the old GRM. I proclaim TRADITION!
Well I might indeed change the name to GCM once crusade is out... but on the other hand maybe not Cuz Tradition!
In the meantime, I'll remind you all that you can download additional content via the Patreon Site:
Gauntlet's Race Mod is creating Ships and Races for Galactic Civilizations III | Patreon
Obviously material support is greatly appreciated, but new stuff will appear there for download regardless. In other news, here is the next thing I'm working on....
Dang now just where did I leave my sonic screwdriver? Exterminate!
Two bugs in 5.0:
The GRM (no -A) Kirani have the ' after their name, and the Chochiesee didn't make it into that bunch.
I'm not a huge Dalek fan, but I'll find a way to use those little buggers... They look like Lego to me (that's a complement).
Hey thanks for the heads up on those bugs. I'll look at it... but it might not matter once Crusade is out, as I may have to stop supporting GRM-A when it does depending on how the civ creator works.
As for the Daleks... well you'll have new turrets and various components to play with if nothing else. Those wired generator pods you see there for example. I also may use the Daleks as a funny minor race primarily.
Yes please! We need more minors desperately! If the majors get substantially better on Steam after Crusade, I think that will be where the modding may be needed!
I hope we won't lose modability in the process! I think minimally we need to be able to add new abilities (I had a whole bunch in mind for someday next year)!
It looks like a new skin on the same old .faction-type files (I'm sure they contain more now), so changing abilities should be do-able. Otherwise we won't ever be able to add more, and I think the people will want that eventually. I think everyone has at least one idea for an ability...
If the new Civ Builder doesn't have a custom color and custom home system function, I hope you will keep the GRM on Nexus and not try to migrate to Steam. I am thinking several of my races won't work on steam (custom stars, custom planet types), and I am thinking I'd rather keep them as a group. It is also easier to require the GRM that way (GRM WILL be required for my race stuff, and I plan to maintain maximum compatibility).
Well based on my download rates, I think the audience that is active for GRM is about 250 to 300 people. Pretty sure I could have a lot more than that through Steam... but we need SD to support mods there, which I don't think they will do.
So yeah... we will see... I'm on the fence.
